failed out of the package
Much like the other reviews i spent several minutes trying to get the unit out of the package and when i finally did it was dead on arrival. Not even a spark of life. That was enough for me to return it but i wanted to try the 3 other batteries i had first and the unit still wouldn't turn on. All batteries were tested and working on other equipment. First Ryobi failure Ive had and hopefully the last.

      Cool little gadget.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comes in handy when out somewhere and there are no power outlets. Charges phone and laptop easily.

        Very useful!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a big fan of being able to use my batteries for power in an emergency. This 300-Watt Power Source really fits the bill for that. We are abel to power my wife's c-pap maching for the majority of the night with a 6ah battery. It doesn't make it all the way through the night, but that is a whole lot better than no c-pap at all. The inverter is lightweight and easy to store, and I really like the USB-C port for charging phones and tablets. One area that I think could use some improvement is the stability when stored in the vertical position. It is great when a battery is installed, but if no battery is installed it tips over very easily. Overall, this inverter is great, and I highly recommend it.

Purchased mainly to power a small media projector and an Apple TV to watch movies and sports outside. It works perfectly.

Packaging was hard to get into, but the unit works well but does not run long enough and only has one battery slot so hot swap out to keep the devise running is not possible like on the 1800-watt unit that can run and swap out up to 4 batteries. The unit does not want to stand up on its own unless a battery is installed but instructions say, "remove battery when not in use" so it falls over. This could have been made with back-to-back battery slots for hot swapping and better balance when empty. it can run a string of LED lights totaling 200 watts for about 40 minutes with a 4-amp hour Ryobi battery that comes with most other Ryobi tools. Built in light is handy when setting up at night and the two pack does offer a second unit for faster switchover while changing out batteries for a long evening of outdoor or indoor use. Lasts a lot longer than the smaller "Ryobi One" 150-watt 18-volt inverter because of the higher battery voltage. Great for powering up the chargers on those "other Brands" of battery power tools you still keep and use so when away from 120 charger power, it is great for those and other lower voltage 5-volt cell phone or tablet charging as well with its USB charging port. A 4-amp hour Ryobi battery as the power of 40,000 milli-amp hours and that is quite a power bank to keep handy that you already own the batteries for. 5 stars if it was back-to-back batteries 4 stars for the current set up.

If you have 40 volt batteries already this is a must have. We lost power for a couple of hours a few days ago. I grabbed one of these and connected my router. I took my lap top and was able to surf the net and watch Youtube TV. After the power came on the battery still showed 4 bars.

I bought this to run a fan at a tailgate using my 40V batteries. It worked great and allowed my generator to focus on keeping the TVs running and the food warmers warm. We also had a few people charge their phone using the USB port, and that was great too.

Bought this mainly for power outages, since I keep my batteries charged anyway. Tried it out and it worked fine although it is in an obnoxious plastic package. Read the directions to turn it on- you have to hold the button down. Useful for corded tools to get out away from a plug too.

While this could power a small device, it could NOT run my coffee maker... what a surprise.

            No splash/water resistance
I did not purchase the extended warranty. I needed to use it on a rainy day, and it was minimally exposed to the elements, in transport a few feet turned off in a very light shower with a battery attached. The unit and the battery somehow shorted out. The unit doesn't work and the battery is fried. The unit did work on the needed loads, prior to getting fried. This is expensive for a unit that has no weather proofing. I am now suspect of all Ryobi battery powered items in any damp situations.

Very handy, but a little pricy and heavy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These work great for powering laptops, charging mobile devices and small electronics, especially in power outages. Depending on which 40v battery you have on there, they can be a bit heavy and a little pricy for the device and 40v battery. I like my 18v power sources better. They work very well though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this and I love the idea that it can last as long as you keep attaching batteries to it.

Great product. Would like a few more USB outlets and the light in a different place. Used an additional powerbrick to add additional USB/C ports. Worked great on a camping trip. Used both the 6 and 4 batteries with longer time the expected.

                      Wotks good with no issues
I ran a lamp for a few hours with no issues, recharged battery. The next day ran my C-PAP machine for 8 1/2 hours with no issues. I would recommend this, long term unknown.

The cooling fan is very loud. The noise makes it difficult to use in a quiet environment. It would be fine if used for power tools but not a good choice for electronics.

                        Nice price for electrical capability
Nice for running light duty electrical products where there is no electricity.

                          Great during power outages
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 40v 300watt power source after our latest power outage. We had another outage shortly after purchase and I'm so glad that we acquired it! It was most helpful keeping a larger floor fan running for circulation during our Arizona summer heat. We remained comfortable until the electricity was restored about an hour later. It's also helpful to run a computer during power outages. I'm really glad that we made this purchase!

The product does not have an accessible fuse
The product is a light weight device to generate 300 Watts of power from your 40V batteries. If you blow the fuse there is no way to replace it.
