[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trimmer was very easy to assemble. Charging does not take long. It is easy to use. I’ve loved it & have had zero issues. Good job.

When trimming, if you occasionally get small pebbles, or twigs stuck in the blade, there's no way for the gear to disengage, resulting in the eventual rounding off the teeth on the plastic gear. The tool will then only slip, making a grinding noise, and blade will no longer run. I bought another, without the battery to replace it with, and the next season, it wore off again, just as the original one did. There doesn't appear to be any way to replace the gear, or even the entire blade assembly.

If you want perfection, this tool does the trick. Works perfectly to trim grass along edging. I'm very satisfied with the results.

Ryobi grass shears works great on our Liriope. I was able to use the same charger and battery from my Ryobi Blower. Highly Recommend.

Have not used it yet, although my other Ryobi product work great.

I bought this in hopes it would greatly reduce the amount of effort required to cut back my Liriope (Monkey grass) each fall. It most certainly did the job, no more than 30 seconds per plant. A great tool to have for light trimming.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trimming grass against objects such as a wall, trees, shrubs should not be done using weed whips, string trimmers, etc in order to avoid damage or injuring plants. In the past I've used a hand-held grass shear, which is slow and typically does not work well. I picked up the Ryobi grass shear since I'm invested in their 18V product line and batteries. Tool works well... per the operating guide keep the 2 metal teeth plates oiled to prolong the life of the plates. Looking forward to using this for many years.

Works great . Holds a charge very well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this shear about two months ago when I was doing a lot of cleanup work around my house and my daughters house in advance of putting up holiday decorations. I needed something for the small shrubs and for precise trimming to finish off my larger shrubs. I am invested in the Ryobi power tool line, so leveraging my collection of batteries for my garden tools makes sense.

Defective battery and no help on how to replace it

Did a great job trimming. Solid and easy to use. Plenty of battery time. Much better than previous non-Ryobi trimmers I've owned that didn't last.

I bought it for my wife but it was too heavy for her. We didn't even use it, unfortunately.

I have many Ryobi tools that I really like but the saw that I got a while back is a problem. The battery is almost impossible to remove. I have had to take it to the store where they finally got it out with a screw driver. I have had to have my neighbor remove it which was a struggle. So stressful!!! The store said a lot of people are having trouble with it. My other tools are great though.

Got the second generation of this trimmer...first generation one was not worthy...afraid to say this one is about the same especially the grass trimmer...it does not cut very well even when lubricating the blades before every use as instructed...I will look else where for a hand held trimmer for grass

Works as advertised. BUT .... if you hit anything solid (rock, pipe) you will bend the blade. It would be nice to include a spare blade in the kit. I had to use pliers to bend the blade back into position. Overall, does what I need. Close detail trimming, For anything larger, I use my Ryobi string trimmer.

The blade kept getting stuck on the tool. After 2 uses the blade became unremovable and would not run properly I had to return the tool to the store.

Blades were getting stuck and had clicking sounds to it

Great for trimming grass around pop up sprinklers when im too hot or lazy to actually mow lawn or break out weed eater.
