I recently purchased a Ryobi inverter, hoping to leverage my existing Ryobi batteries (2). However, upon arrival, the inverter wasn't functioning. This experience has raised concerns about Ryobi's brand quality, especially since I previously had to return a Ryobi Electric Pressure Washer Surface Cleaner due to a first-day malfunction and failure of my other tools. Given these recent experiences, I'm hesitant to recommend Ryobi products , the potential unreliability is a significant drawback.

Very useful and works for small items such as laptops and router/modem. We got two so we can power our internet and then laptops during outages when working from home. A fully charged 4 ah battery gets us through half or more of the work day.

This certainly gets the job done, but it isn't very efficient, and it has a fair amount of ambient power-loss when it's simply turned on. If I had to take a guess, I'd say this is only around 80%-85% efficient in regards to power loss, when I'd expect a typical inverter to be more like 85%-95%. Secondly, this will lose about 1Ah of battery every 5.5 hours by just being turned on without any devices plugged in. All in all, if this was $60, I'd give it 5-stars. But $99 makes this disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to charge my phone and use ryobi fans when our power was out for 6 days !!! What a difference, plus we had multiple 40v batteries from our other tools. Great to have ! and bonus is the light that illuminated the room.

Picked this up with a battery bundle a year back because I needed an extra battery. This works great and can power a lot of different things. Great for power outages or if you are working outside somewhere that is not near electric.

I thought it was part of the plus one batterie line. It’s not. I bought 2 and if I buy 2 batteries I’m in small generator more wattage price range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it during recent power outage after the derecho. Ran a fan for 4 hours before using up battery. Would have been 5 stars but it seemed to have overheated and wouldn't run. Was middle of night so didn't troubleshoot it.

The bigger the amperage of 40-volt battery the longer the run time. works with all Ryobi 40-volt batteries that are sitting around waiting to be used on the many Ryobi tools in your garage or tool shed. Works well with "Ryobi One" chargers to keep charging the 18-volt tool batteries when away from house power.

Great charging for multiple devices.

Great addition to the Hurricane preparedness inventory. Also works great for camping and outdoor events where power is limited.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been absolutely delighted. As a full-time student and disc golf team organizer I need my laptop with me almost constantly. Entire days away from electrical outlets make it hard with my limitations for battery recharges. This is an ease of use for me cause I can charge laptop, phone, and tablet all at once with no issues so we can keep up with tournament registrations for disc golf. For school this just makes it so I can at least enjoy the sunshine up here while I can.

I bought this a couple of months ago and have used for a fan, phone charger, light for camping. I also use it to run small power tools and to charge my laptop.

I returned it right after 15 minutes I bought it.

This is a fantastic little power source. I already had a couple 40v Ryobi batteries from my lawn mower so this has allowed me to keep all our phones charged while our power was out recently. It also has a nice light, although it is very slightly impeded on by the battery itself. No worries though. Overall i would buy this again and again. Can’t wait to take it camping/glamping with the fam.

Worked great! Used it to power my notebook and Telescope for 6 hours during the April 2024 Solar Eclipse. Only gripe I have is with the cooling fan location. It is on the bottom of the unit, so it sucks dirt and grass into the unit.
