Easy to assemble and program

Easy to install and set up.

This exceeded my expectations very nicely.

Works great. Easy to program

After calling technical support for my 2 year old SST 1200out controller that didn’t have power, I was told it was probably from a lightning strike. I was told I couldn’t buy a replacement transformer because they didn’t have any! I would have to buy a whole new unit. Really! Looks like they have replacements for indoor models.

I replaced my Rainbird 3-Program unit -ESP Modular. This unit SST-600OUT has only one program. It is easy to install but it would have been easier if the mounting holes for mounting screw and pipe holes for the zone and rain sensor cables are made the same distance for similar size unit. It would then simply "Plug and Play" type unit. Programming is easy. Tested the unit and it worked. I wish that there is an indicator and bypass switch for the rain sensor and 2nd program in case the other program fails.

Great replacement for the old 12 station controller of another brand that died.

Do not connect to a circuit switched from inside the house or garage. Do not connect to a GFCI outlet. If power from either of these sources is lost, the unit saves the clock and calendar but lacks the ability to open zone valves. Therefore, no watering until you become aware of everything looking stressed. In order to replace the battery back up, the unit must have all cables disconnected, the unit removed from it's mounting location, and the rear panel of the unit removed. That could be a lot better.

Works great and is easy to use. I only use it on manual except when I am traveling.

Would be nice to see if this product would drive my sprinkler system but the locking mechanisms for the wires for each zone are too weak to hold the wires in. The guide says the holes are good for up to 14 guage wire which is what i am using but the mechanisms are too weak to hold the wires in. They keep falling out of the slots. What a weak completely useless system. Am disappointed that Rainbird has sunk to the level of so many other products these days. Go back to the screws to hold the wires in place!!!!
