As noted by other reviews urn was missing spicket and 3 days late on arrival. From HD at customer service counter contacted manufacturer and informed me item will be shipped. Item did not arrive by stated date. Contact HD again and new shipping date was provided by manufacturer. Still no parts so I contacted manufacturer who informed me missing item not processed yet and given new shipping date. While this was going on gutters were installed on home. Item also had loose drain tubes from plant tray fall into urn, bad glue job I was going to fix with hot glue gun. The sides where half of urn is joined to other half had aprox 1/4 inch raised seam where it just looked bad and was sharp. I ended up just returning item. I am not going to cut into brand new gutter install to fit this urn waste of time.

Saving water in California
My new whole house water purifier discharges 60 gallons of water every 10 days. I live in California with the drought, so I decided to capture the discharge and use it to water my garden. It is 150 feet from the filter and I raised it to give some flow pressure. It works like a charm!

FIRST SHOWER 65 GALLONS
so far so good it takes a lot of time to level against the wall on the flat portion side . Careful sliding it around as the bottom is flimsy . It could be the cause of leaks I have seen in some reviews . Had to cut hole in mesh as the filter is too fine and will not allow water to pass through, causing overflow.
I put nesting and plants so I have yet to have a shower yet to test that out . I am sure some dirt will get into the barrel . I put rocks around the 2 little holes at top.

Rain Barrel Review
the rain barrel is beautiful; however, it was delivered with an approximate 2' black mark that goes from the front to the left . . . which does not come off.

rain barrel urn
I'm so glad I bought this barrel. It not only looks good but you can connect another back to back without buying a divertor. Have had great comments from neighbors. Planted plants on top. It has small drain in planter so excess water will drain back into barrel. Am ordering another but their out of stock. on list to be notified.

Good but not great
I got the sandstone color and when there is water in it, I can see the water line looking at the outside of the urn. That means that light is easily getting through and that means there will be algae problems. I would not recommend the sandstone color on that basis.
The shape of the urn looks fine from the front, but the squarish appendage on the back of the urn is downright ugly. Possibly if I paint that portion to match the siding of the house, it may not be such an eyesore.
The brass faucet is good but it screws into a what seems like a nylon fitting. Included with the urn is a roll of the white plumbers tape to wrap the threads. Normally you make three wraps. I did at least 3 and maybe 4 or 5. The faucet is screwed in as tightly as possible, but it still weeps at that threaded connection.
The planter depression on top is nice and deep (4-5") and has two drain holes that drain to the outside rear, keeping dirty water out of the urn. Best feature of this urn!

Great value that works well and looks smart
Our 65 gallon rain barrel was very easy to install on a current downspout. It seems sturdy enough for our use. I love the top that fits a planter - Makes the Urn look more attactive in a garden setting.. The faucet included works well with our attached hose. After the first rain we wished the barrel was larger. We will need to figure out a diverter process to help catch the runoff once the barrel fills - which is very fast in a good rain. The plants Love this rain water and have never looked better!

Only lasted me one year
I bought one of these in the spring of 2012 i(Terra Cotta color) to collect rain water for our vegetable garden. It worked ok at first but the drain lets out the water at barely a trickle. As I filled it with water this spring (2013), the barrel never seemed to fill up. One day I finally turned it over and there was a very large crack on the bottom of the plastic where all the water was leaking out.
I contacted the company (Good Ideas) and sent pictures of the defect near a seam and a copy of my receipt. I was the told that it was out of warranty and that all they could do was offer me a discount on a new one. I believe it was only a month out of warranty. So I want to warn anyone considering the purchase of this unit that the company does not stand behind their product as they are very strict about the 12 month warranty. If they wanted to act in good faith, they would have replaced it. The discount on another unit was worthless as I wouldn't want to throw away good money for a potentially defective product a second time.
Please beware that this may not last more than a year.

Excellent style and design
I am not sure what theknobs on the back are for and there are no instructions for them being there. This barrel could have better overflow system but it was easy to make my own.

Faucet fits so close to the barrel its difficult to turn the handle. Rain doesn't go through the mosquito screen so had to drill holes in the bottom of the flower pot bowl. Color wasn't like the picture.

I love the look and size of this urn, but my only concern is that the spigots will turn in their threads when I open the valve. I have two of these. They aren't leaking now, but I'm wondering if they might eventually leak.

It was easy to adapt a "Fiskars" downspout diverter to it and it filled during the first rain. Also it works best elevated and was able to build a stable platform using cement blocks and pavers. Half-filled the top planter with drain stone and place a potted plant on them. Spigot works fine but you must be patient and not expect the same pressure as house water.

The rain barrel itself seems to be of good quality. My issue has been with the spigot. The spigot does not screw in straight and if I screw it all the way in, I cannot turn the handle (it hits the barrel wall). If I leave unscrewed a little, it leaks. So I have unscrewed a little and am dealing with the slow leak.

I like how it looks and how much water it holds but I don’t like that you can’t fit a watering can under it and you can’t hook it to a hose to use because there’s not enough water pressure for it to come out of the hose. :(

The water that collects and becomes dirty and stagnant on the top of the unit is a real drag. Also, the water drains way to slowly out of the spigot.
