I have always been a Tapcon user and had started to mount wood racks in my garage using 1/4x3'' tapcons into some kind of concrete block (don't think it was filled with concrete. Anyway, it may have been some user error on my end given the hollow block but I was having a bunch of issues. Tried out the hammer-set nails and found it easier to use. I mounted a 2x4 first using the Hammer-set anchors and then the wood rack to the 2x4 (better way to go in my view). Anyway, was really pleased with the product and happy I have extras on my shelves now.

Different securing job require different methods of attachments, we used these Red Heads to attach 2X4 studs to a block wall, the 1-1/2 studs were needed to cover surface mounted 3/4" PEX plumbing. The Red Head Hammer Set were set just below stud surface in 1/4" inch pre-drilled holes through stud and block, making sure we drilled through the ends or middle of the block to utilize the full length of the Red Head. The prep work required for best results is worth it for a good, strong anchor. This product met my expectation, and will use as needed.

This was a first-time use of the product. I was replacing some rotted 2×4 wood pieces being used as paving edging over concrete. Instead of the sleeved bolts previously used to hold down the wood, I opted for these smaller "nail driven" anchor bolts. They seem to be a good alternative to the larger sleeved bolts which they replaced.

Was turned on to these recently to secure lumber racks into the concrete walls of my shop. Much stronger than your typical screw in concrete anchor, in my opinion. Very pleased with this item.
