Sitting here with the lights shining bright despite the rest of the neighborhood sitting in the dark. Ordered this switch back in 2012 and used it to install the generator semi-permanently. Switch was easy to mount and to wire up, though the conduit was barely large enough to accommodate all the wires. I would (and have) recommended this switch to friends...

I found that this Transfer switch was a bit bulky and heavier then I thought. Not difficult at all to install, hardest part was mounting it to my brick wall. I am no electrician and was able to do per code. Recommend watching you-tube video, makes it a stupid proof installation. Only draw back is the price, seems way to much for what you get and the size and wight of the switch.

Got it delivered and knew what I was expecting based on the reviews. In the box was the paneling, wires, and the one inch connectors in the box. The issue was finding a 1 inch conduit that would connect this panel to the Main panel. All needed was maybe 4-6 ft. Went to Home Depot thinking they would have but they dont. Instead I found some Spa flex pipe in the plumbing section that barely fit. Not sure how long this stuff lasts but it worked fitting with the 1 inch connectors in the box. I would give it 5 stars if they gave me conduit and lower pricing. Pricing was kinda high for what it comes with but for the supply and demand for this product I can see why. Box seems durable and heavy. Didnt need instructions since you can go on youtube to see how to wire. Product simple to use, even wife understood.

Product was what I needed for the job required. I am very happy with it's installation and use.

Required an outdoor switch with 10 circuits, power intlet and metering of watts. Instructions were clear and straight-forward, and made for an easy install. I just went through hurricane Sandy, and the switch provided me with peace of mind and seamless power protection. I highly recommend the switch.

I bought this transfer switch for my home (I am having a licensed electrician install it) after surveying the market, it seemed a good quality for the money. I could have saved $25 if I had had it delivered to the local store, but the web site did not have clear instructions on how to do that. The only thing I am concerned about is the length of conduit supplied with the transfer switch, it is 18 inches long and might be too short to reach my circuit breaker box. I called the manufacturer, he said if I needed longer I would have to increase the size of the conduit to allow longer piece of conduit. Electrical code problem. We'll see.

just follow the instructions , it's all here , very easy to install. very well built for outside use.

The transfer switch kit was complete, well designed, and well labeled. The electrician I hired was able to install it very quickly, and even knocked a big percentage off the price because the kit installed so easily. Once installed, we tested the kit with my 5500 watt generator, and it performed flawlessly. I especially like that the switch has two load meters that show you the load you are drawing when running on the generator.
