Best purchase ever. No more running out of hot water anywhere. Not a noise from it.

We have one that is about two years old. It started leaking. Plumber thought leak was in jetted tub and ripped up beautiful tile on side of tub for access and carved up ceiling below tub on lower floor. He should have flipped on water mains and tested but did not. This tank leaked and damaged the two floors below it (no more beautiful wood and hard to match flooring, damaged carpets, destroyed three or four light fixtures. Now to remove and replace it will be $4k-7k depending upon replacement tank and plumber. What a nightmare. Ordered parts for heating elements and o-ring and they haven't come but the tank appears to be damaged. Aren't these supposed to last more than 2 years? I called tech support and was even elevated to a manager level call handler but nothing has happened. Calling Rheem tech support is like moving the chairs around on the deck of the Titanic!

WE really have not check out the capacity of this unit yet. It does give hot water and seems to be OK, but we will need to check capacity before we actually know what we really think and if it meets our needs.

We got this for our family of 5. So far we absolutely love it! We can all take showers or baths back to back out at the same time. It is wonderful. And the lifetime warranty is amazing!!!! This is what you want! Oh also customer service is pretty good. I had sent them a message on their website asking about the warranty on a different one of their water heaters that was for commercial use, not residential, and someone actually called me back and helped me find the best water heater for me (which was this one). I highly recommend this brand even if you don’t need this big of a water heater!!

Good unit for those with water that contains alot of minerals or sediment. It is very lite in weight and easy to install. However wish Rheem would make a 60 gal for a residential replacement.

Leaked immediately. Called Rheem and was on hold for over an hour before the Call was disconnected.
