I live in a rural area - one without natural gas. Rather, I have a large propane tank that supplies gas to my house heater, stove, and water heater. Disappointingly, even though I live in an area where a lot of people have propane, HD does not seem to stock propane water heaters in store. It took nearly 3 weeks to have a water heater shipped to the store for pick up. HD did not offer home delivery on this product. As it turns out, this heater is about 2" taller and 1" narrower than the old heater. Getting the heater into the closet the heater resides was fairly easy, but it was a 2 person job - it is too heavy for one person to lift. The problem I had was that the additional height caused me to have to redo the exhaust piping. For whatever reason, the old water heater exhaust piping was not movable and I was unable to figure out how to make changes to it. I eventually had to use tin-snips to make the adjustments. The discharge valve was in approximately the same location as the old heater, but the pressure release valve was on the side of the heater rather than on the top, so I had to do a little re-piping to make this work correctly. Generally though, the water heater works well. The water seems to be somewhat warmer than the old heater, even at the lowest setting. As of yet, I do not know if the heater is more efficient and burns propane hotter or if it uses more propane - but I am watching it. I am pleased with the purchase.

The Rheem water heater was fairly easy to install, however after tightening all connections and turning on the water, there was a slow but steady leak from the drain valve. The only remedy was to drain the tank and remove the valve. We purchased a similar valve and used plumbers tape and the leak stopped. This added more work and a second trip to Home Depot.

Ordered online for home delivery. Came quick and no damage. All details were perfect and replace was quick and easy. Instructions easy to follow. Lighting and temp adjust easy.

Easy DIY install. Lit pilot on second click of the piezo ! We'll see how long it lasts compared to the 7 year old Whirlpool it replaced.

So far so good. It does the job it's suppose to do.

Installed just fine. The carton was damaged but the water heater was just fine. Plumber didn't have any issues installing. It is working jine. Got the temperature adjusted without any issues. No more popping.

Had the heater in place for about 2 months. So far so good. Easy installation with minimal plumbing skills. The side on the heater feels cool, indicating good insulation. Packaging was good, everything arrived as expected. I do recommend this heater

Works great so far! Very simple to ignite and shut off.

We actually had to return the 50 gallon water heater and got a 40 gallon instead. It is working very well and we are pleased with it.
