The warranty doesn't include power surges
Installed this unit in the spring of 2020 Worked fin for about a year and half. The igniter coil failed. That was covered by parts warranty no hot water for 3 days. The next problem - failing utility transformer - fried the electronics - not covered by warranty: parts - main control board and blower around $700. It is now sitting in work shop - I trip over it from time to time. Replaced it with a tank water heater. Buy a good A/C surge protector if you have a tankless system.

The unit works very nicely; I only have it for few weeks, so obviously no issues yet - so far so good. I like you can do increments of 1 degree when setting the water temp.

Says 1/2" Gas Line works but it did not
It say 1/2" gas line is all I need but I can't get a flame to hold (error code 12). Dozens of hours and hundreds of dollars wasted in addition to 2 days without hot water and a massive headache.

Loud with Heavy Vibration
Bought as a direct replacement to a Rheem tankless water heater with same specs that was lost to freezing temperatures during the Texas Ice over. This unit shakes/vibrates heavily when starting up and is extremally loud. So loud that it wakes up my kids if we use hot water at night.

2 of 2 units were lemons
Had this professionally installed, unit didn’t work. Exchanged for same unit, had that one professionally installed, it didn’t work either. Both alternated between code 11 and 12, the size of the gas line was increased, codes continued. Third unit was a different model and that worked perfectly. Don’t bother with this one.

Is a good unit, semi difficult install when switching from a tank to a tankless. Requires a special stainless steel direct exhaust system. Overall a very powerful unit and I’m satisfied. The rheem customer service is fantastic
