It is somewhat of a deception if you think your going to get hot water instantly. I've had two of these tanks. The first lasted for awhile. I've experienced problems with both giving cold water when I really didn't want or need it. It's a constant battle. BUY a regular water heater and save your money. IT AIN'T WORTH THE EXTRA

The builder put the unit in the cheapest location, plumbing-wise, and took a long time to get hot water. The circulating system has helped a lot to overcome that. But the Rinnai unit itself, no complaints.

Love it! Hot water all the time and never runs out. Can run three showers, tubs, dw and washer at the same time and stays hot.

Takes up less space in my garage and I never run out of hot water. I don't dislike anything about it.

We needed to replace our aged tankless that came with the house, it was a Rinnai. It worked great along the way, and my brother knew it to have a great reputation, so we only looked for another Rinnai product. We've had the new one over 7 months and are very happy with it. It is one of the less expensive models, but it produces hot water quicker than our old one did, is quieter, and we didn't need extra features anyway. We were sure to buy one to match our household of 6 users, that's important. Buying this model matched the pipes on top, so our installation was easier (shorter, cheaper). Price and function all good!

The fact that we always have HOT water is awesome. I’ve only had it for about four months and it has exceeded all my expectations.

This unit has worked great. Better than I thought. Did alot or research before making my mind up. Glad I did the research and asked questions before I decided. Have had it for about 6 months no problems

Easy setup, instructions are really good, absolutely love the additional room by getting rid of the tank. It doesn’t give you instantaneous hot water in your house, the hot water still has to travel the pipes to get to the faucet you are using, but it is endless hot water

Switched from a 50-gallon electric to a gas-powered tankless heater. The water gets plenty hot and goes for days. That said, I was surprised that it takes around 30 seconds longer to actually get hot water at the tap. I realize it needs to sense movement, fire the burners and start heating water, so some delay was expected, but this about doubled the time it takes to get water at the kitchen sink, right in the middle of the house. Overall I'm pretty happy with the performance and cost, but I'll have to give it some thought before we put one in the next house.

This is our second Rinnai in a second home. I wouldn’t have anything else. Hot water takes a few minutes to reach our bathroom but once there we never run out.

Installed a year ago to replace a gas hot water tank. I decided it was time to save energy and switch to hot water on demand instead of heating and storing hot water 24 hours a day. Tankless system requires minimal space and lends itself to lower energy costs. Best decision ever!

We have had continuous problems with condensation in the unit tripping error codes and shutting down the system.

Effective, efficient, steady. Took a little getting used to waiting a few seconds for the hot water to come out at temp, but I've lived in plenty of older buildings where regular tank heaters take much longer to do the same. The unit itself is extra-small compared to our old tank heater, too. Highly recommended.

Did not perform as , only had it a week be fore I made contractor replace with a conventional gas heater due to it's performance.

My first one worked great for 16 years. Just replaced it with a second one.

6 / 8 months after installation. Great savings as the hot water was not used while we were away for a few months. The only slight dis- like is that the unit is a bit loud when in use. It sits in a closet in a bedroom and will wake anyone sleeping.

We have had the RL94i for about 5 months now and we do like the fact it provides endless hot water and the fact it provides more space in the garage. Our master bath is about 50+ feet away from the tank and the wait time in winter is a little too long. This isn't the model I wanted, but it was the only model we could get on short notice. Our old hot water heater failed and we didn't want to do without hot water any longer than necessary so we settled for this model.

This unit is a wonderful upgrade to our home.

The hot water is intense! Be careful on what you set it at. Only drawback that I have seen is that our gas bill went up about 20% since we had it installed.

We have one tankless heater for our house with four bedrooms and three teenagers. Have never run out of hot water. This one was a little pricier than others but it was very professionally installed in an over house which required some creative installation piping. I’ve been very very happy with how well does this worked from day one. We can run dishwashers, washing machines and both showers and never run out of hot water.

takes 1 minute and 30 seconds to get the water hot at the faucet. I did change the setting from 120 to 140 F, once I changed this, then it was better

Amazing water heater. Super quiet and produces hot water almost instantly. Installation was simple and straightforward.

I am on my second Rinnai tankless water heater. I love having hot water all the time; never running out no matter how many showers are taken or how long the showers. I did have some trouble finding a really good company for service. My first Rinnai was installed and lasted only 10 years even though I had it serviced regularly--apparently I was paying a lot of money for nothing. But now I have a wonderful company who knows what they are doing service it on a regular basis. It used to be an issue when the electricity went off, but now we have a Generac so those issues are in the past.

We had rinnai for about 3 months now and love it. The water stays hot forever! The only thing I don’t like is it’s hooked up by the master bedroom in the attic and the kitchen is on the other side which takes forever to get hot water but positive about that is the master water gets hit quicker. It does take sometime to get the hot water but after the hot water is coming out it’s there forever.

Twice the hot water flow from my previous Rinnai water heater.

If installed correctly I think this would be an ideal water heater for a family

Ive had it installed 6 months ago, and havent had any troubles, even during storms and the electricity was knocked out. The unit came back on with no resetting anything
