Going from a traditional large tank water heater to an upgraded tankless/wall-mounted water heater was a nice transition. We have more space in the garage now. The tankless heater is very quiet. It's also very easy to maintain and keep running well. We have had it for several months and the only complaint is that it does take a little bit of time for warm/hot water to register out of the faucet or bath/shower. The pros outweigh the cons, however. It is still a great investment and it was a good choice for our family.

It takes more than :45 to get warm and it's only 8' from the sink. I'm finished washing my hands before it warms. Makes it more wasteful than a tank water heater and, we have to wait every time if we want hot water. I own 3 Rinnai's - all are the same.

Very Economical .Saving a lot of water heating charges unnecessarily esp during long vacation times

The water warms pretty well but not beyond tolerance. I had this product for 4 months now and like it's performance.

Water is hot within 30 seconds, however, sometimes have to reset unit to have it heat water

Although it takes awhile for our hot water to reach the showers and faucets, once there, we can count on an unending supply.

Really enjoy hot water on demand. No more heating 40+ gallons of water just to have it sit there and do nothing. Less utility cost as well.

It came with our house and has worked perfectly. We have had no issues. Hot water when you need it. Too bad we don't have little ones near every faucet, it still takes time for hot water to get to some faucets that are far from it, but that's not the water heater's problem

Energy saving is standing out the most. Like it when you don't have to wait for hot water, dislike when no hot water with low water flow. I have it for 6 mos. Yes, it meet my expectations.

Positives are not having a hot water heater, ability to take showers and run appliances like dishwashers and wagers at the same time without running out of hot water and great warranty period. On the negative side, it takes a long time to get hot water; kitchen sink, one bathroom sink and shower. A lot of wasted water.

I am very disappointed in the RINNAI system for several reasons: 1) VERY slow to heat up, 2) water does not get hot in all areas of the house, 3) the 'hot' water is NOT consistent....the heater keeps turning off while I am trying to get hot water.

I like that when it works, it works extremely well. However, the flow rate requirement, in my opinion, is far too high. My kitchen sink has trouble hitting the mark reliably and my bathroom sinks both need to be on in order to get it to fire up.

Figuring out he venting and the sizing for the gas line was a bit of a challenge as we were replacing an old tankless heater. I works MUCH better than the old one for sure. I wish we would not waited so long to make the upgrade. It uses MUCH less water to start the heater and even less to keep it going. The only issue is out dog does not appreciate the sound it makes...but she is getting used to it!

I have had a Rinnai Hot water heater in my old house and in my new one. Very cost efficient and you never run out of hot water. The only draw back is that it takes over a minute (sometimes 2 minutes) to get hot water out of the faucet, even when you insulate the pipes.

Water heats up pretty quickly and hot water lasts a long time! The only thing you need to be aware of is keeping the drain line clear; it can freeze up causing the hot water to turn off (so it doesn't overflow inside the unit), and then it's super chilly! I didn't realize what was happening the first few times, but it's a super easy fix once I knew what was going on (knock the ice out of the drain line and/or open the release valve located under the unit).

It is nice to know I can have all the hot water I need without it getting cold. The only issue is that it takes a long time to actually get hot water flowing.

Fairly quiet but water does take a bit longer to get really hot

As a new user of only 3 months, I am very satisfied with the unit. It is space saving and it supplies plenty of volume. One thing to be aware of is the altitude setting. We had a very bad experience with the flame not igniting unless you had the faucet wide open........so no hot water. Once we read the manual and saw the altitude section and set the dip switch to the high altitude setting, it worked perfectly. We are only at 2300 feet, but that is apparently high altitude to this unit.

This unit puts out hot water quickly. Installation was easy, and everything worked as advertised. The main issue that I had was with the condensate neutralizer. It took a few days to get it in just the right position so that it wouldn't cause a backup error and stop putting out hot water without a reset. I eventually got it dialed in, but it was frustrating at first.

It takes too long for water to heat. Who wants to wait 1.5 - 2 minutes and longer for water to heat to wash hands or do dishes. Gallons of water wasted waiting for warm to ho water. The RUCS75i model, which was installed in my home by Lennar Corporation is not a recirculating model, which does not have a Circ Logic Board, and therefore does not have a pump and cannot be upgraded, which would allow it to be recirculating. These facts were provided by Rinnai customer service.

It can surely meet our daily requirements. One issue I would like to mention is that since my bathroom has a rather long distance from the heater, the bath water is mild in winter, and I can hardly adjust the temperature . Rinnai is so confident having set everything down, inside, that there’s no panel left for the users. Cannot understand.

Do not like how long it takes to get hot water to tap. Wastes much water waiting for hot water to come. Have used for 2 1/2 months.

Works perfectly, settings are little tricky.

No means of adjusting the water temperature provided by the installer. Otherwise functions as advertised.

This is the second instant water heater but the first Rinnai and it performs as expected
