The asphalt driveway has some rugged spots and after redoing a flower bed on the edge, I had to do some extensive patching - 13 bags, I used a piece of 4x4 and a sledge hammer, and then my pickup to do the tamping and I think it came out pretty well, but it is hard to compact by just pounding. I wish it were a little finer grained.

I purchased a bag which came out great & worked wonderfully but wasn't enough. I went back & bought another bag, this time it was literally loose rocks throughout the bag. So I went back returned it bought another to just get the same result again! Very frustrating carrying a 60lb bag back & forth to just get the same result. You can see the difference in the"asphalt" in photo. I'm waiting until they get a new pallet of them to get another. Sakrete needs to do some quality control!

Sakrete was good for most part of the job. Driving on it was ok, but when I parked my car on it overnight my tires were glued to the Sakrete. When I moved my car, my tires picked up some of the Sakrete and left me with pot holes.

first size is not what it says it covers bag and website are different may cover what is on bag but no where near what the website says 30 some odd bags latter and two more trips we got what we needed. HD dropped the bag on this one like really dropped the ball. Yes I should of double checked I even estimated more but site should be accurate.

Used this to patch the front of my driveway that was tearing off . Removed the debris, filled with this item and tamped it with a tamper . After tamping , applied a thin coat of portland cement on top and tamped it for some more time. The final results were great . Used trowel patch to seal off the ends and then also sealed the driveway to have a nice even color. Been a month now and everything looks good.

Used many bags of this blacktop patch and tamper to fix my driveway last summer. Quick tips: 1) You will want to measure the size of the patch before purchasing this and use the back of the bag as a reference - as you'll likely need more than you realize. 2) Wear throwaway gloves and likely clothes - this stuff is sticky when working with in hot weather. 3) If you used this on a driveway - you'll want to use an asphalt sealer to even out the color. Purely optional - but makes it look much better.

Good stuff, good price. easy to work with..,I'd buy it again! I Filled a 3' x 3' x 4" pot hole in my driveway. with 4 bags after making edges and a flat walls inside the hole.layer blacktop patch and inch at a time ending with a 1/2 rise above the surface.Then added a light dusting layer of concrete mix on top. which help harden the surface and made it match my faded driveway.I suggest just follow the instructions on the bag and mix in some concert dust. I could have have mixed it into the blacktop patch but only applied it to the top surface twice over a two day period. The wife is happy so I am too.

We used disposable gloves and the Blacktop Patch seemed easy to work with. We had a good size gap to fill so that people wouldn't trip over. We put a layer down and then pressed down by stepping on a board we already had, then added more and pressed down. It was soft for a couple days, but its firm now after a week.

Cheap and easy fix the patch

I used the product to fix a larger area on my driveway than the recommended area and am very happy with the results, it's almost like I resurfaced my driveway with new asphalt. The driveway was damaged due to water collecting over the years after a rainfall. I am not sure of the coverage it says however (I could be wrong).

Easy to use. Packs well. Still soft the next day. Hopefully will cure harder with time

Great product for doing cold asphalt patches.

Product is still very rough after much pounding/tampering. Product needs more "gravy" to make patch smoother. Top layer looks like a bunch of rocks.

I applied this patch over two months ago and while the outside cured almost immediately the inside is still wet. That means that I can't wheel anything heavy over it without putting down a wooden plank, and defeats the purpose of the patch.

Works well in patching small holes in asphalt.

VERY disappointed with this product. It's been 10 days and the blacktop patch has NOT hardened creating a mess and a big inconvenience. Called tech support for product and nothing.

This product is crap. The bags were disgusting with tar leaking out. It made for a huge mess trying to install. It was melting all over the truck bed. It didn't stay in the holes and the job has to be redone after only 3 weeks. Go back to carrying the Quikrete brand.

Good quality and easy to install

Product was one solid piece in every bag I purchased and they had to be torn apart with a shovel before it could be tamped into place. Disappointed in this product.

It worked just fine.

I expected the material to be somewhat pliable to put in a pothole. Bought several bags and all were hardened.

Did what it was supposed to do!
