Easy install, lots of shelves/baskets
My contractor inspected/picked up/installed. (Some reviews say damage…happens when delivered on site vs store.) PROS - Price, Easy install, shaving foot rests, accss kit has all the shelves, baskets, clips, soap dishes that you need. functional yet stylish. CONS. 1-Its plastic i hope it doesnt yellow. 2-textured floor hard to keep clean, (no abrasives). 3 bathmats suction cupswont stick to floors 4 NO safety bar reinforcmnt, 5-NO shwr curtain rod reinforcmnt .     Broken three places
    Picked up Shower kit from Home Depot yesterday June 22, 2024 Got the base in place. Got the back out and it is broken on top corner and both bottoms split. Called Home Depot wanted to just return the back. Everything else was good. Home Depot said I had to return all pieces and then I didn’t get the accessory shelves with it. Very disappointing

      Arrived broken -- DON'T BUY!
      This is the second shower unit like this I ordered in the past year. Both arrived broken. I used the first one because the damage was mostly hidden, and I couldn't wait for a replacement. I think I'll also keep this one, because I can't wait for a replacement or it would hold up further trade work on the bathroom. I may be able to patch the broken back wall near the top. I think the product may be made well enough, but either it is not packed well enough or Home Depot mishandled it.

        Do not buy this on home Depot.com
        Save time and don't buy this product as an individual or as a set. It's junk. I've had 4 come in cracked. Had to go to a local store to locate an intact one. They helped me, home depot.com just kept sending me replacements, refunds, and had ZERO solutions. Kohler had no interest in looking into why so many are damaged, or helping outside of a 10% discount. If you need to buy GO TO THE STORE and ask to check out the product for damage. What a complete waste of my time. I'm on unit 5.

          Damaged upon arrival
          This shower comes in 4 boxes and all were damaged. The shower itself was broken and cracked and barely in the box. It was returned and I will try to find a different shower because It will probably end up being damaged as well if I re-ordered the same one. Very disappointing and time consuming endeavor.

            It was being delivered in 4 parts and two prices were delivered on time but 1 part was delivered broke an and late after it was said to have been lost! I contacted help several times and finally had all returned ! So I am still out of a shower!

            Delivered damaged twice and Missing parts
            Delivered 2x damaged. 2nd time it was delivered without the base of the shower. Very disappointed. Homedepot made this a hassle and delayed the project 2x. Time is money and I can't get that back. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Packaging is terrible without hardly any protection for the product.

              Overall looks decent but arrived broken. Contacted costumer service and was told I could get it replaced in a couple weeks or get a refund. Both okay options but would set my project back for said time. I had already waited for almost a month to get it delivered and I couldn’t afford any more time. I ended up buying more materials and fixed it myself.

                  Broke before I even got it home
                  I picked up the online order from Home Depot. While rearranging the boxes on my Ford Ranger, I took out the shower base and it landed hard straight down vertically busting the corner. It didn't take much. When I contacted Kohler to see if I could get a replacement they told me they didn't warranty their product until after it's installed. I can see why. The boxes are large and unwieldy with no handles or easy way to grip. The corner reinforcements are subpar and the product itself flimsy.

                    Great shower kit!
                    I'm very satisfied with this shower kit! The number of shelves is great, and there are two shelves that can fit a set of large shampoo/conditioner bottles with pumps. I can do without the silicone basket shelves and wish I had two more "deep" shelves instead. Too bad I can't buy just those two shelves! My plumber will only install Sterling/Kohler kits and couldn't get this through their supplier, so I happily picked this up at Home Depot myself. They have the best price by FAR on this, too!

                      Super cheap poorly made
                      Beyond disappointed in this shower pan. After purchasing one, go to jobsite only to open box and find out the corner is broken. Go back to store and get another one from back of store. Get to customer service, open box and it is also broken. Go get the last one on the shelf. Everything looks good. Installed the walls and connecting all the plumbing. While cleaning up the pan the finish just comes off and there is pitted areas all along the step. 10 year guarantee? Didn’t even make it 1 week.

                        Returns Are All or Nothing
                        The kit arrives in 4 boxes. A substandard delivery service driving an Enterprise rental truck threw/dropped the boxes against a tree. 2/4 boxes looked like they had been hit by a truck. Those 2 boxes were the pan and the sides. And they were cracked and broken. Home Depot refuses to replace just the broken parts. They demand all 4 boxes…All, even the good ones, have to be returned. Which is insane and wasteful. I cant put them in my car. All 4 boxes are laying out in my yard. And HD says someone will call me “in a few days” to schedule a pick up. So the good pieces will sit outside. I live in a small townhome and cant keep this massive pile inside. Online the individual parts are available, but HD refuses to do things the easy way. Also Sterling does a horrible job of packing and protecting the pieces. I reordered, not feeling optimistic.

                          Tricky install but fine shower when done
                          The finished shower looks nice and is sturdy but installation was a bit tricky. I wanted to install a grab bar in the middle of it so there were some complications. I later learned there may be a version of this Sterling model that comes with built in grab bar supports behind the rear wall but I had to install my own. The fit of the shower sections was fine but only after I cleaned up a lot of fiberglass mold run over that obviously should have been removed at the factory. There was a lot of fiberglass laying in the bottom of all 3 cartons but I didn't have any missing or broken pieces on the shower itself. Cleaning excess fiberglass of slide tabs was required. The base actually sits up on fiberglass legs that get longer as the pitch of the base rises in the back so the low end will sit in the mortar but only the legs are in mortar at the high end. As was noted by a previous reviewer - Be sure you can have your water valves and fittings flush or slightly inside the framed wall or you wont be able to get that shower wall in place. To install these side walls they are held flush about 3 inches higher than the back wall and lowered into 3 tabs on the back wall. The snap in shelves seem sturdy and are holding tight even when pumping our large squirt bottles of shampoo and such so we're glad we got this model with them on it.

                            Very reasonably priced and easy installation.
                            Very easy installation, love the snap in shelves! Only thing the top two shelves do not fit into the grooves provided and keep the shelf straight. Had to put above the built in grooves to get the shelves level, but rest of shelves fit perfectly. Don't know if that is a design error or installation error, but made it work.

                            Cracking already
                            The contractor did not snap the shower together. Now when we take a shower, the water runs through the crack onto the floor where it supposed to be snap. Now we have a little water damage going on. He refuse to fix it. Plus one of the shower doors will not close all the way Now I cannot find anyone to fix his mess up Without paying an arm and a leg. I already paid him to do it. He claims he will come back May 20 if you don’t I’m going to contact BBB.

                                New shower tiled instead of prefab sides
                                still in the process of putting in a tiled shower but the shower pan really is nice. once we cemented under it as showed to do on you tube it is solid and will work out fine. Since we are tiling and not prebuild sides and back it was difficult to fine the correct one to use for tile, we returned a couple that just would not have worked.

                                Hairline cracks after 5 months of use
                                This was installed per instructions on the box. After just 5 months of use unfortunately it formed hairline cracks. This means I need to rip out the shower and redo the tile.

                                  Easy to crack. Very poor final inspection.
                                  The pan is nice once installed. But took a lot of sanding to remove the rough and crooked edges from the manufacturing process. No quality control. HD had 2 and both were cracked in the same spot. The front edge was very rough and not cut straight. Also it doesn’t drain very well . Not enough slope I guess.

                                    The whole shower set seems sturdy, however the color doesn't look white. It's more of a bisque color. You can tell by the white wall, white shower curtain, and white bath rug that the shower kit isn't white.

                                        Very Brittle, inspect before installing
                                        Be very careful while laying this shower pan, look at it wrong and it’ll crack. Not the base that you stand in, but the supports underneath and the ridge around the outside are extremely brittle. Multiple parts of the ridge cracked and chipped while laying down the pan, and I was very careful in doing it. Also noticed an indent on the surface of the pan that was a manufacturing defect. Unfortunately I noticed this after mortaring it down.
