This is a great unit, easy to install; however, it would be helpful to have installation instructions available online for plumbing prep! HD was not able to assist with this in anyway. They are happy to sell you products but are not helpful when it comes to installation guides.

I bought this because its exactly what we needed….. i had to return it due to cracks along edge that carried onto the face…. The second one we got we inspected the boxes and they were good…. Hot it home and after installing the base and the back wall… I noticed a crack in the side wall…. The packaging for these is offer very little protection… because this was bought as a kit, it needs to be returned as a kit, and with the base already installed. I cannot do that… now I’m stuck with it!

    Can’t really rate the quality of the product fairly due to the fact I had to return the first 2 shipments due to damage. The manufacturer needs to come up with a way to package the product to prevent damage during shipping.

    DELIVERED BROKEN
    THIS PRODUCT WAS DAMAGED WITH TORN/SMASHED PACKAGING. DRIVER SAID THEY WERE NOT PERMITTED TO OPEN AND IF WE OPENED THEY WERE NOT PERMITTED TO RETURN. THE DAMAGE WAS EXTENSIVE ENOUGH WE WERE ABLE TO REACH IN AND FEEL BASE WAS BROKEN SO WE REFUSED DELIVERY. THESE SHIPPERS HAD OUR LARGE BOX ON A PALLET WITH ITEMS PILED ON TOP. THEY OBVIOUSLY HAD MOVED OTHER DELIVERIES ON TOP OF OURS AS EMPTY PALLETS WERE PILED IN FRONT OF IT. DELIIVERY DRIVER SAID HOME DEPOT ONLY SHIPS DAMAGED MERCH, WHICH I KNOW IS BS. I WISH WE COULD PICK UP THIS PRODUCT AS IT SHIP FROM ONLY 30 MILES AWAY. SINCE OUR CONTRACTOR IS WAITING ON DELIVERY, I HAD TO RE-PURCHASE FOR "FAST" DELIVERY ( 9 DAYS FROM NOW) & WAIT FOR A REFUND AFTER SUPPLIER VERIFIED MY REFUSED DELIVERY. NOT SURE ABOUT PRODUCT, BUT DELIVERY COMPANY IS TOTALLY INADEQUATE.

      Pros: I like that it has weep channels for any water that gets behind the tiles/panels. I know that the non-slip surface on Sterling pans works very well from previous experience with them. Cons: compared to Dreamline, the Sterling pan feels very thin, light, and flimsy. Maybe not an issue when you set it in mortar, but the quality difference it immediately obvious. Also Sterling requires you to fasten the pan to the studs with clips that make it difficult to set the wall board without furring out the walls. Dreamline relies on the mortar alone to keep it stable, and the wall board floats above the flange and gets sealed. I prefered the Dreamline for these two reasons and I returned the Sterling.

      Sterling packaging is sub-par.
      If you order this shower unit expect cracks or busted edges when they arrive to the store. Regardless of how the package looks, insist on store associates opening and inspecting all panels and base for cracks. This is common with the Sterling brand, as their packaging is less then desirable. It's been this way for years with no improvement. I'm writing this review to give heads up to others. The last two shower back walls I picked up were damaged beyond use. Do better Kohler.
