This product should be advertised and sold in store! Comes in premixed colors and in 5 gallon buckets ready to apply. We removed old plaster/stucco from the cinder block foundation of our home. This is the first area that i finished. Remove anything loose. Powerwash or scrub with a cleaning brush and water/bleach mix. When dry, I applied a base coat to get the uneven cinder block morter filled in. The following day I applied a second coat with an old large paint brush, slopping it on and creating textures randomly. A few minutes later i went back and used a “knock down technique” with a damp rubber float. Amazing results! Can’t wait to do the other areas. Glad Home Depot ordered to store for free! Went on super easy. We had a ton of exposed foundation foam to cover. Just be careful with it in regards to making sure you are not working in direct sunlight. I added before and after photos.

We had Styrofoam over cement brick on our exterior basement walls. The original cement looking covering had cracked off over 25 years and there were holes in the Styrofoam. I applied sticky mesh tape then used a hopper to spray the first thin coat of Tuff II (tanner color) over the mesh. I then applied two more coats by hand as I wanted a stucco look. It hardened beautifully and looks great. I am very pleased with the results and loved being able to coordinate the color with our siding. Home Depot shipped for free to our door. Successful project completed.

Well first of all I received White, not the Tanner color. No biggie as I was pretty sure I'd paint it anyways. I have used this product several times and have been very pleased with the results. It's like a miracle in a 5 gallon bucket.

I used Tuff II to cover 2" of Dow Corning Foamular XPS rigid foam on the outside of our basement walls. Living in NY state, rigid foam is required in basements, but it can be either on the inside or outside of the foundation. If on the inside, there's the added expense of finishing off the walls so as not to leave the rigid foam exposed. On the outside, it's only necessary to coat the foam with something to keep it from being exposed to sunlight and from chipping and cracking. I used 2 coats of Tuff II over sticky mesh. It trowels on easily, though the process itself is a bit of a learning experience. When you start out, you'll probably find a third of it goes on the ground, at least until you get the hang of troweling it onto your walls. The end result is very nice. A tough coating that doesn't need paint and resists denting and chipping from the errant stone from your lawn mower or abuse from a weed whacker. I am convinced this is an excellent way to solve the problem of exposed rigid foam.

Great product! Used over exposed Liteform, followed the instructions by lightly brushing the surface with a wire brush, placing sticky mesh over that, then troweled on with a 6” drywall taping knife for the first coat. Second coat I used a very rough texture roller and knocked that down with a 12” drywall knife. Looks just like stucco, seems very tough, dirt just rinses off with a hose. I get lots of compliments, and really gave my house a finished look.

This product delivers everything it says it will. Easy application after applying the mesh screen. Stays workable long enough to smooth or texture.

Worked very well you do need to wear gloves and old work clothes because this stuff stains. Great product for my outdoor kitchen hardy board surface.

I had one and a half buckets stored over winter 2014-15 and used them first in Aug 2015. This older product was more viscous and was a bit easier to apply than the new bucket that I had purchased in Aug 2015. I do not know if that was due to storing the product over the winter (kept from freezing). Or not. The product color consistency between the older buckets and new one was good. No mismatch. The product dried to a good hard finish. It was a bit harder to trowel the new bucket product because it was a bit more runny. Otherwise the product did what it was supposed to do.

This product was perfect for my need, covering rigid foam insulation that I had applied to my basement walls. It comes ready mixed, was easy to apply, and looks great. And it appears to be very durable. The company, Styro Industries, has an easy to follow video on their website on how to apply the product. I couldn't be happier. Ordering through Home Depot was super easy and the price was very competitive. The product was delivered on time to my door with free shipping. Also, I ordered too much and was able to return the unopened pail to my local Home Depot. It couldn't have been easier. In summary, a great product and great shopping experience through Home Depot.

Applied this product directly to a concrete foundation wall and the application and coverage was as advertised. Ran some test pieces by applying on foam board. Excellent adhesion and rock hard result...really surprised since we did not use the mesh. Highly suggest obtaining samples from Styro Industries if you are trying to choose a colored product.
