So far a real disappointment, ice maker not working properly, and frost forming inside freezer section. repair service taking over 7days to respond. Our replaced one performed better for over 10 yrs until icemaker stopped working. please help, elderly recent widow on fixed income.

Ice Maker is horrible!!
The ice maker started freezing up after about a year and now only lasts about 3-4 days before being blocked up. Horrible design. I cannot remove the ice tray anymore because of the ice blockage.

Hey, Kelvin. I understand how hard this has been for you. Having the ice maker freeze up would be difficult for anybody to deal with.     The design is slick and the unit looks great. We are drinking much more water now with the auto pitcher. Icemaker so far so good, appears to be a different design than all the ones I’ve seen in the failed videos. Fingers crossed. Interior is bright with a good layout. Outside shows fingerprints and needs more than occasional cleaning.

    unfortunately we are dis-satisfed with the ice-maker, the auto fill water picther & the freezer. while we 'absolutely' love the look and style of this fridge, the components mentioned are deficient. the ice maker is constantly frozen and does not work at all, the water pitcher only intermittently works and the freezer seems to frost up as well. we are sorry that we spent so much on this fridge to have it not perform.

    You have a good reason to be dissatisfied with your fridge. I would feel the same way If I was going through this. The fridge or ice maker may be collecting warm air in it to cause excessive frost. This can be caused if the rubber seal around the door is loose.       we bought as we liked the design but the ice maker has been a nightmare! consistently freezes/ices over and then we get no ice until we go and manually remove/chip out the ice. complete pain and i would not buy this again.

        I was a little hesitant to buy because some of the reviews but I am glad I did. This is a great fridge. Maybe some people use a lot of ice and this causes some of the issues people have with it freezing up. My family uses the ice maker a good amount of times throughout the day and I have had no issues. I wanted to wait awhile to post a review just in case. I also purchased a 5 year warrant just in case the reviews were accurate but so far so good. Would recommend to families.

          3 months and no serious problems. Issues include the drawer in the freezer gets off track sometimes, but it’s an easy fix. Limited space for tall bottles. Not perfect but would buy again.

            Excellent fridge, except the ice maker
            We have had this fridge for about 3 years. For the last year two years, the ice maker has been freezing over about once a week. We have to manually unfreeze it before it will make any ice, plus the ice maker leaks water into the fridge when it's frozen. Other than that, it's an awesome appliance and we are happy with it, unfortunately the ice maker just ruins it all!

Middle drawer is perfect for the quick snack, so the upper section can stay cold. The stainless finished really shows fingerprints but, they buff any with a dry towel.

              Worst refrigerator and customer svc ever
              i am actually thinking of getting rid of my samsung phone and tv, bc i am so disappointed with the horrible service i have gotten trying to get this horrible refrigerator replaced. as we all know by now the ice maker is a disaster. after a year of defrosting it bi-weekly and chipping away at ice dams i decided to try and get the ice maker repaired. they sent a repair service who i also have issues with to repair it but then broke the main control panel. so now i don't have ice or a functional refrigerator. i have called 4 times and spent hours on the phone. samsung keeps telling me that the repair is not complete and nana repair service tells me they are complete and have notified samsung that they do not repair control panels only ice makers.

                I love having the deli drawer option!
                there are a lot of things i love about this fridge, the deli drawer option is one of them. i use the middle drawer to put all the lunch meat cheese's, and little flat things that seem to get lost in the top part of the refrigerator. i also got the tuscan color and i love it as it has kind of a brown / rose color to it so it goes well with my bronze accents in the kitchen. . . but looks like it would go equally well with brushed steal too. i have had a problem with the ice maker not working but will be calling samsung to get that fixed. over all i think this is a good product.

                  we really like the layout and look of this refrigerator, but the ice maker makes us not want to get another samsung product and we are in the market for a new oven and microwave . the ice maker is always freezing over. we have had it replaced once and it continues to have the same problem. it is so frozen over now, i can't pull the ice maker out of the compartment. how doesn't this warrant a recall? expensive fridge and we are using old fashion ice trays. also, the drawer in the freezer is always coming off its tract.

                    We bought this fridge three years ago, ice maker messed up after four months, Took a year but we received a new fridge from the manufacture. The replacement unit even worse. Icemaker went out then the middle unit and finally the freezer compartment. I think there’s a big recall on that model! Might make a good boat anchor!!!

                      So many issues-
                      ice machine is awful- customer service: terrible customer service- perhaps the worst part of this whole experience: i reached out about the ice maker (freezes up, repeatedly). customer service we are within warranty and they would send a repair man so they opened a ticket. the ticket was then closed because no service was available in the area. i was texted that i "may be eligible for compensation" because they could not honor the warranty, and to reach back out to samsung. i did, and samsung just opened the ticket again and the same process happened again. three times- i am getting the run around so samsung does not actually have to honor their warranty. it's so frustrating, and i hope someone who reads this will actually help us before the warranty expires.

                        the look of this appliance is sleek and modern. the ice maker consistently clogs and freezes up. now, we dont get any ice. the manual is not in the least bit helpful. the directions say to press the reset button, almost impossible to find based on the diagram, and listen for a chime. then you will hear another chime if the ice maker is operating properly. question...what if you dont hear another chime. that next step isnt addressed. this appliance isnt even four years old and the clogging of ice is a continuous problem. i see that i am not alone. what are you doing to help?

                          I was super excited about this fridge. Loved the design without handles, extra drawer and the water pitcher in the door. The biggest con: PAINT CHIPPING!! We got black stainless steel to match our dishwasher. We’ve had it for about 6 months and there are several places where the paint is chipping. That is extremely disappointing for the price, and to add insult to injury, there is no touch up paint available. The shelving isn’t as deep as if expected, and it’s tough to keep a lot of tall items but have made due. Lastly, the ice maker is extremely loud but it’s not a constant so not a huge issue in my opinion. Samsung needs to step up their game with the paint quality and overall interior design for the price point of this high end fridge.
