After about 5 years, the first one's control panel went KAPUT! Bought a Schlage "keyless lock" model -- IT WOULD NOT PROGRAM. Took it back. Bought this model, NO PROBLEMS with the programming. I look forward to another 5 to 10 years of function!

This is a great door lock. Have had a darker version of this lock for over 12 years and it has performed flawlessly. Wife wanted to upgrade to a different finish, so that is the reason for purchase. We had to return this lock (lock was missing parts) and there were no locks in this finish in our area, so we had to order from an alternative source. We love the fact that you can program in different codes for friends and family members. Definitely give this lock a serious look.

Easy to install and easy to use. When you come home with packages, much easier to hit 4 buttons that find your keys. Works on a battery that last maybe 4 years. This is the second lock of this type that I have. Great purchase.

Easily assembly. But many times it will not accept my pressing of the buttons and won't open. It takes me half dozen tries many times. Even replaced the battery thinking that was the problem. Would not buy this product again.

Very easy to install. Just a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Have the installer read the instructions and understand before attempting to install. Five minutes to install. Very simple.
