After many years having a rider, my new manual mower is doing a great job

I have a small yard. I love this mower! I worried that 3 inches might not be tall enough, but ended up 3 steps down from 3 inches! Great mower, great price! So happy I switched to a reel mower! No charging, no hassle, judge grab it and go!

Easy to assemble and use. Wonderful exercise and no gas, oil or exhaust to deal with.

The bag would not stay on. A little difficult to push.

Before I decided to buy a hand-push reel mower for my lawn, I compared several brands. I liked the Scotts Clasic 20" most. I shopped on-line with Home Depot Canada and picked up in store. Very pleasant experience. This reel mower is very well made, well designed and sturdy. The cutting height adjustment is easy, with two nice orange knobs like gear shift of a car, very easy to handle. The height can be adjusted from 2" to 3", with 1/8" interval. If you want to have a much lower setting, you can, just read the manual. As soon as I finished the assembly, I took it outside to have a try. Vow! The sound was so sweet, and it was very easy to push forward. The mower weighs 30 lbs, I think I can use much less than 10 lbs force to push the mower going. I am 92 years old, if I can, so can everybody. During the first try, I already noticed the cutting was nice and fine, because the action was just like several pairs of scissors, smoothly cutting the grass. After a few weeks, the result was obvious, the grass was greener. My finding is: 1. If your lawn is not too large. 2. If your lawn is more or less flat. 3. If you like mowing. 4. If you like doing a bit of exercise to keep fit. 5. If you like to be environmentally friendly, no gas and no oil. This is it. I certainly recommend this product to my friends. To show my feeling, I have written the following lines. Green Green the Grass Beauty Once in a nice warm summer, I bought a Scotts reel mower. Turning the Scotts Classic around, And listen to the sweet blades sound. All I need is a slightly touch, The reel will turn and cut. Green green the grass beauty. I love this hobby fun, And like to mow in the sun. Pushing the reel mower wheels, Happy with what I feel. O! The scissors cut that matters, My lawn is greener than ever. Outstanding. Fast delivery, stout build, not flimsy paper steel tubing, easy assembly [63 and stroke impared] and works great. Bigger basket would be nice [ 2-3 x bigger]

I bought one of these like 8+ years ago. I finally replaced. It’s even BETTER now!!! NOTE: The grass catcher thing, uhm, will not be using that :)

This is truly a joke of a machine. 1. The lawn catcher is useless as the mower throws all of the cuttings forward not backward. 2. To cut under 2” you need to remove the axles by loosening bolts that are right where the sharp blades are, forcing you to put your fingers in between the bladex to loosen and toghten the nuts from the axle. 3. Because the cutting all fall forward it jams the entire mechanism continioulsly causing what little cuttings that did fall into the catcher to fall straight out onto the blades.

It leaves my grass chopped in lines!

Difficult to assemble but once done it seemed ok. However within 30’ it locked up & would not move forward. One of the wheels looked odd but I really don’t know if that was the problem. Nothing in the owner’s manual either. Scott’s customer service number was useless so I called Home Depot & they said to just return to store for full refund.

This Was easy to assemble and works amazingly. It is very good quality.

It's quiet. It's the right size for my small yard. It's a great option for the environment. If you want a close, consistent cut, however, this isn't it. My lawn always looks a little shaggy after I mow because this mower manages to not get every blade.

The only critique I have Is the bag should have a better way of being secured

I wish I didn't get bagger, doesn't work that well

It’s not the best but also not the worst thing out there. It just takes double the the time to mow your yard instead of a powered lawnmower.

Cuts grass, but not weeds

Grass catcher is not so good.

Good but the lowest setting is 1 inch. Can’t set lower than that.
