This is a great valve for a quick fix. My sprinkler system gate valve seized up after 26 years. I needed to replace the 3/4” valve and transition to 1” PVC pipe. The repair was so quick. It took 5 minutes to cutoff the water, cut off the valve, drain down the piping and replace the valve. Amazing!

As with all SharkBite products, this is so easy to install and use. No soldering needed. Plus the fit is watertight with no leaks. best of all, the valve can rotate on the pipe so you can turn it to be in a more convenient spot for access. SharkBite is not cheap, but it is so much more convenient, plus if you need to take it apart, just press in the fitting collar and the pipe comes right out.
