I insulated the floors in a crawl space with R21 unbacked insulation and these ties were a perfect solution for sagging insulation. These ties are so easy to use I could push them up with one hand.

The Simpson Strong-Tie in which I wasn't aware of at all until a Home Depot rep suggested it to me, has worked wonders! I was insulating my crawl space and I thought a staple gun would do, boy was i wrong. In less than 10 minutes, and a little bit of sweat and i was done!

They do the job they were meant for. It would be costly and time consuming to put up wood slats to hold the insulation under a floor. Last owner did not put anything to hold the insulation up and most of it was on the grown. I put new insulation in with a higher R value.

Very easy to use - take one out of the box and press fit into the stud. Very simple process, and the slightly angled edges made it easy to tension fit them. Bonus points: the box is pleasantly sturdy, I dragged it around with me as I was moving across the space I was installing the insulation, and it held up super well. This made it easy to grab a support, install it, and grab another - I always appreciate practical packaging!

My installation was falling from my garage, I got these to hold it up, works great, just push it up in the middle of the rafter,use as needed, no problem.
