This is a follow-up to post on March 4, 2017. I was not able to edit that post but I wanted to additional information. I still maintain my two (2) star rating of this product.
A 'Chris' responded to my post on March 6, 2017 with the appearance of being concerned and helpful. I did in fact call call the number provided (Slant Fin manufacturing) and asked to speak with 'Chris'. I was put through to customer service who informed me:
1. There is no one named 'Chris' in customer service
2. There is only a one year warranty on the product. Period.
3. ALL warranty issues relating to this product would go through Home Depot and NOT Slant Fin.
For what it's worth I have attached a picture of the rust issue. Since I was unable to reach a 'Chris' at Slant Fin nor did the individual I spoke with indicate any desire in seeing the rusting issue, one might conclude the response was simply for positive marketing spin. Since I clearly indicated upfront the baseboard elements were purchased "...a few years ago...", Chris' response stating "The product is guaranteed not to rust and would certainly be under warranty." gives false hope that something could be done regarding the situation.

Sorry for the inconvenience, You did not reach me at Slant Fin because I do not work there. I work with the organization that services The Home Depots hydronic needs, such as baseboard and boilers. I apologize on behalf of Slant Fin because they should not have treated you this way. Yes the stated warranty on there product is one year as it is with most hydronic manufactures. However rusting has been a historic issue with baseboard and I have been assured by them on multiple occasions that they jump on these claims. Apparently the people you spoke to do not get the message. Again I apologize for that. However both my organization and The Home Depot stand behind what we say. So please give me a call and we will get replacement product out to you. I did look at the picture and I think the term rusting is an under statement. I find it interesting that it appears to be on the top, and wonder if something got on the top and compromised the surface. Please measure the lengths before you call. Chris 978 651-3301

Fit newer style only
Doesn't fit my older coils. I have slant fins that are 60 yrs. old. I needed new covers. I thought these should fit but my coils are slightly larger than the new ones. I bent the fins over to get them on.

Great Product and a do it yourself
Nice product was in stock, easy to cut and easy to install, and looks great and matches ones i put in 5 years ago from home depot so i hope they keep it in stock.
