Got this cord reel on clearance for $1.00 so I thought I'd give it try. It was only one dollar! And I'm thinking about getting my dollar back. It is hard to reel up and just feels cheap!

For the price, this reel does what it needs to do, store the cord in an organized way. To use the cord, it must be fully unwound from the reel.

This has some neat features (the feet and color) that other reels do not. It's also slightly smaller.

This reel serves the purpose. Doesn't work as easily as I had hoped with a 100' cord but it will do until I find exactly what will work the easiest for me.

You have to put this together even though the box it came in was big enough to hold if already assembled. Putting it together wasn't easy, Couldn't keep the center piece together with the two sides as trying to click all together. Clicked the two side pieces together which was a HUGE mistake as can't now add the center piece and can't get the side pieces undone to try again. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Why this is sold disassembled is beyond me. Money down the drain

In the store it seemed like a cord reel is a cord reel. How different could one be from the next? So I got this one because it was cheap and came in a smaller package than the others (more efficient use of resources). But in using it i found that because the sides of the spool are parallel (not flared out) and the feet are so prominent, when winding up the cord it catches on either side unless you are very consious in keeping the cord centered as it rolls up. Also, after just a few months of light use around the house (home owner, not contractor) the knob that is used to spin the reel snapped off. I took it back and got another design that is more similar to the style my dad bought 30 yrs ago and only just recently broke.

Works great. This is the best of all the storage reel designs. Note that it ships disassembled (2 pieces that snap together).
