Wire is strong and pulls well thru conduit. Looks and feels well made. I purposely went with Southwire because I heard good things about it. I wasn't sorry.

I already submitted a review about Southwire products. Bottom line, it works as advertised. It uses a more efficient insulation to allow a smaller diameter. It also contains a coating to make it slippery. As a result, one can run about twice the number of wires through existing conduit with less pull resistance than prior generations of insulated wire. The only drawback for fussy folks is the induction leakage caused by magnetic induction inherent with alternating current. One can reduce this effect with stranded copper wire if, and only if, each strand is insulated. This is only noticeable in far higher frequencies than 60 hertz. For those early adopters who want to overlay WiFi connectivity on a power circuit (PoE), it becomes a noticeable aggravation. Suggest one keeps electronics, electrical power and skunks at a distance.

Not all commodities are created equal. Some are more equal than others, especially if they have to fit inside conduit totally burried in a house that a couple of plasterers built with help from their buddies between 1923 - 1925 (before I was even born). Plastic was not invented yet. Thin-wall conduit was unheard of because they did not know how to make it thin. Gas pipe was available and bendable with great difficulty. The first insulated wire was a thick varnish-impregnated braided fiber called "varnished cambric." Adding or replacing conduit was not an option, except for the attic or basement. 1970-era plastic wire was barely thin enough to run 3 #12 wires. The original main had four 15-amp fuses to power the entire house. That main became a sub-feed to a new 200-amp main in 1970.
Installed a transfer switch for a large MG set to control up to 10 circuits. That installation required twice the number of wires to divert the load between the sub-feed and the transfer switch. Was able to fit 10 wires inside a new 3/4" thin-wall conduit between the main and the sub-feed 14 feet away from each other. The outer coating of the Southwire cable was slippery enough to make this effort hassle-free.
