I had 3 mounds that I applied the granules to. I waited almost 2 days and went to check them. Still very much live colonies in all 3 mounds. I even applied extra granules due to the larger size of the mounds. I think the ants used the granules to reinforce their mounds. I think I actually helped the ants. This was not my intention.

This fire ant killer is the best for the price.

Product didn’t work at all

It kills the ants in the mound quicky.

I like the product because when I use it, I can watch the fire ants die! I stir the mound with a stick (3 or 4PM) when ants come out I apply the Mound Destroyer!

This stuff did not work for me. I applied it as per the direction and waited a week and the ants are still there. I have three ant mounds out in the horse pasture and I applied it to all three. No results on any of them. I then applied a second time one week later still no results.

Glad I switched to Spectracide, it was like a nuclear bomb went off on several huge ant beds, with no relocation.

This is a great product!

Works great. My only suggestion is to broadcast outside the mound as well to keep ants from spreading out.

Excellent product. I have used it for years, and no other fire ant killer does the deed as fast as Spectracide. Best price I've found for it is right here at Home Depot. Best delivery service too. Thank you.

I used it and the ants are still here. That stuff is not any good. I hate I spent my money for nothing.

Tried this product on a few varieties of ants around the property with mixed results... The poison more or less works on the black fire ants with the red butts. This product also seemed to work on the tiny all black ants seemingly stopping them or very least driving them further away... The all red bodied fire ants I bought this product for primarily has had little effect... The swarm just moves away and comes back the next day or so; via a new mound/ hole... The poison killed a bunch of them on the surface. It is a poison with a strong poison odor when you open the bag. However doesn't seem to actually stop the problem. As a granule ant bait poison they don't seem to actually want to carry the granules back to their nest to kill their queen. Perhaps not very appetizing to them? Bag does say suppose to stop the queen and the colony... After a number of days and attempts at ridding the ant problem seems like the product has been a waste of money... Money maybe better used to buy a known to work ant poison at the specialty pest control store. The home depot store I went to had another bag by the same manufacture in a silver pouch for a few dollars more but comparing the bags other than different graphics and colors they seemed to contain the same ingredients and concentrations of. But the silver bag costs more for less product sooo I opted for the orange one. I likely going to avoid other products by this brand due to its lack luster results...
