Wasn't happy with results. I applied it with a brush and also used a trowel. It was applied to cement stairs that I had repaired 2 months prior to putting the SpreadRock on them. I used a primer and gave it 3 days to let it completely dry. Then used the product and it went on pretty good. It rained 2 days later and I watched it wash off the stairs and stream down my driveway that had just been resealed. I think if it hadn't rained it would have been ok. So I don't know if I gave SpreadRock a fair review.

There was no rock or stone look, just the grey white flecks in picture. Very expensive and time consuming for end result.

Performed exactly as defined. Met criteria for coverage n has resolved issues as expected. Great product!

The product was very difficult to mix even with a drill. It did not spread easily or cover as much area as reported. We were very disappointed in the process.

Looks good. There is a definite learning curve involved with application.

Very good product. Putting it down requires patience and accuracy. Any man who knows how to plaster will not have a problem with it. My husband put it on the foundation of our house. Now it looks very effective. The one only thing is we needed more material than description said .

Hard to apply and had to use more than twice the amount suggested.

It was perfect for my small cement project. I am not the best at smoothing it out, but it worked for my needs.

Per application instructions with product >Ambient temperature must not less than 50 deg. C. = (122 deg. Fahrenheit ) What is up with this requirement ????? and not exceed 85 deg. C. = (185 deg. F.)

Great product! Used recommended primer first. Then applied SpreadRock on concrete window sills. They look like new Granite sills. Pebble look. Much thicker than sand paint. Very good product. Highly recommend it!

What i like about this product compared to NatureStone or those other products is that the granite stones are tiny. The granules are the size of coarse sand. They are not 1/8" diameter rocks like in the other products. For this reason, dirt and stuff wouldn't be able to collect between the granules. I just like its appearance better. It does make for a smooth finish. so, if you are buying a product for 'better footing', i don't think this one will be the correct choice. I never used a trowel before. Still, i was able to apply this product with relative ease. I will say this - you want to try to apply all of the product at once. in other words, don't apply to 1/3 of the floor, then walk away for a day. not only will you have trouble transitioning the new with the old (you will see a line) but depending on how much water you might have misted on the product to help smooth it out (remove trowel marks), there could be slight color differences (that your eyes will catch). but overall, i would definitely purchase this product again. And yes it is true that you use way more material than expected. i had a 120sq. foot pad (plus 3" sides) to apply to and i used almost 7 gallons of material. reason why is that you suck up product if there are little craters in the pad. Also, the trowel wants you to level off the pad, that might not currently be as level as you think.

Very hard to mix and spread evenly. Color was exactly as shown in photo.

I would feel better writing a review after this has been down a year to see how it holds up over the winter, but for now it looks awesome!

Product performs as expected. Follow all prep steps. Homeowner loves finish product. Assume 20 square feet per gallon per coat. Two coats are required for an even application. ( That means 2 gallons per 20 square foot) I keep can mixed with a paint mixer that attached to my drill.

I am giving Spreadrock 1 star for the following reasons... If you are considering this product DO listen to the reviews here, I should have read them first, they are correct. While this product has potential to be great, one major flaw is actual coverage, which is perhaps 1/3 of what the can says it covers. Do NOT buy a 1 gallon can thinking it will cover more than a few feet at more than a paper thin film. My 1st gallon covered 1/2 of a 7x4 basic concrete slab, that's an area of approx 3.5ft x 2ft, awful. In addition the "gallon" was already down by about 3", I've got photos if anyone is interested, I took them before and after mixing, which takes a LOT of arm work to mix, but even after mixing the contents were not a full gallon, and at about $50 per that is just awful. If I had known about the coverage I'd have gone ahead and purchased the 5 gallon, which is what I now had to do because my project was half finished. The other issue I see is there are now some "pock" marks, circular indentations like marble size, where the coating did not cure and they are just filled with the dry mixture powder that I have to sweep out of the holes and I guess fill in when the new 5 gallon arrives, which I hope matches because there is also a disclaimer that comes with your 1st gallon, they must know you'll need more, but the disclaimer notes that different lots need to be mixed for color consistency, kind of hard to do that now as I thought I would only need the first gallon given the stated coverage so the 1st gallon is already laid down on the slab, no mixing happening, I hope they match. Again the coverage is the biggest issue. I do like the color, Flint Gray basically looks like you painted your concrete slab a lighter gray, you do not see the dark fleck marks as it shows in the photo either, and as another poster commented, it just appears light gray. If the cost was less, OR the coverage was correct, if maybe I mixed another 10 minutes, I'd be happy with the product. I would not buy it again and it remains to be seen how this application holds up.

This spread okay but left trowel marks with a tight trowel. I know it's designed more for a magic trowel and self leveling but I wanted to make sure I got even coverage to the edges. The rock seemed to seperate quickly from the liquid too. See how it holds up over time. Using in a damp location.

This product not be use on vertical wall, hone Depot website says it covers 60’ square feet, actual coverage per manufacturer specs 25’ square feet, so far for a 10 x 10’ wall I’ve needed 4 gallons at $46/a gallon and still needs more to fully cover Disaster from beginning to end, installation was done by professional contractor, terrible product Total ripoff, this manufacturer and listing should be deleted makes Home Depot look quite bad

The product was excellent but the coverage per gallon was way off for vertical application. Instead of 60 sq ft per gallon, It worked out to 18.6 sqft per gallon.
