Had to pre drill. Turned out awesome. We love our new kitchen floor.

Just finished installing these floors and all I can say is "WOW!" They look amazing. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. The only negative is there were quite a few boards that were too rough for my liking as my socks could catch on them. Luckily I had purchased plenty of extra and was able to weed those out and return them. I nailed the floors even though it recommends gluing. I used an 18 gauge brad nailer and it turned out fantastic.

I've bought this product before several times before and have been very satisfied with good quality. In my latest order, several pieces were scratched, stained improperly, and in general poor condition.I used most of the product but approximately 30% was unusable.

Great floor, easy to install

I put down about 1200 square feet of this a few years ago in the main area of my house and wanted to continue the look into the master bedroom. The new boards match the older perfectly and this stuff is tough. It looks beautiful and everyone that sees it is in love with it.

No arguing the product looks beautiful. Easy to install per contractor. Glued down. Unfortunately, there are so many things not so great that the price and overall product we have not been impressed with. 1) order and delivery (not the product fault, but...) - working with the HD to place the order was fine, a bit difficult for some reason but they were helpful along the way. Delivery was a disaster. First order they lost, we were under time constraints and had to re-order THE ENTIRE order. Seriously. So delivery lost, canceled, new order place and overall delayed, forcing us to use different flooring in an area that needed to be completed. Then, it came less one box lost somewhere between order and shipment. We counted three times. Good news is HD helped to reorder another box right away and send quickly. Lastly, because of all the hold ups and delays, a number of boxes weren't needed. HD offered to have them picked up (delivered by freight) but the freight company after two weeks didn't even call. Was disappointed that HD couldn't do anything at that point but give me the freight carrier to try and chase down myself to schedule (no luck). I called, emailed, posted on their site. I loaded a ton of boxes into my SUV and delivered them to the closest store myself (as usual that was no problem), but was a day's worth of unnecessary effort. 2) scratches and wear - within days, not weeks, scratches and areas where the floor is worn down have started to show. I don't think these can be sanded, and due to the color the under layer is very light compared to the stain. I have no idea what to do. Brand new flooring, tons of scratches literally everywhere. Granted some were from moving things around in the kitchen (appliances, but the amount of scratches and the ease with which it scuffed and scratched us absurd), but even kids running through or the dog walking made marks all over. We selected bamboo for it's hardness and durability...I couldn't argue enough that it has been just the opposite in the first month. Any recommendations on how to erase or get rid of scratches? 3) the price - after doing a lot of reviews and selections, we found that overpaying for bamboo hasn't seemed to be worth it. maybe if on sale? But not at this price. Dont get fooled by the "janka" hardness scale. Probably would have been better to go with solid wood at same or slightly more $.

Flooring scratches super easy. Within a week we had scratches and gashes all over he place. Not what we expected. Delivery awful. Home Depot customer service tried very hard to make it right.

We installed 950 sq. ft. of this product in June 2018 only to discover a month later that it cupped in many places. We installed it over a concrete sub-floor. We now are in the process of looking to replace it. Buyers beware: do not install this on a concrete sub-floor. No matter how strong your glue is, it will cup or worse. It did for us. I wish I knew that this product is not going to stay in place before I bought.

The flooring was not milled the same as flooring we bought one week earlier. Very disappointed

I'm a building contractor this is a very easy floor to install I did nail down with 18 ga floor nailer worked will.

Loved the 1/2'' solid flooring. I would definitely recommend nailing down with 11/2'' -2'' cleats. I installed this flooring on 3 different occasions with no problems. be careful of nailer placement before hitting with mallet to prevent nailing in center of board. Flooring is very hard, you will not be able to face nail even with a finish nailer. you will have to pre drill and use 11/2'' finish nails to get first 2 rows down. Be careful not to have pressure to high to avoid splitting tongue (75 psi worked for me). Last, be careful of splinters!

This floor has been very durable. One year in, and we are purchasing more to place in rooms that were previously carpet. This floor is crazy dense - do not attempt to install with staples. You must use T-shank or L-shank flooring cleats. We have installed over a 1/4" thick cork underlayment. I had significant difficulty making rip cuts through these planks. A fully charged 18V battery would not make it all the way through one piece before dying (Ryobi 5-1/4 inch cordless circular saw). My electric 7-1/4 in saw burned up two blades. Finally, I pulled out the router table and made multiple passes, each time raising the router bit slightly. It made for some extra effort, but I had a long wall where a 1-5/8" wide strip was needed. It looks fantastic. The stair nose sold through Home Depot states solid hardwood. It is NOT solid bamboo. It appeared to be poplar with a contact-paper-thin layer of bamboo printed vinyl wrapping. I returned and purchased a solid piece of Eucalyptus from an online vendor. The match was great for appearance and the solid Eucalyptus has taken a beating as the stair nose but still looks new.
