Hello, and thanks for your review of the Pro 575/22 Grill Cover. Even though the cover is designed not to touch the ground, where it could easily absorb moisture, we honestly do not see issues with the lower part of the legs developing rust. The covers are really more for protecting the electronics and pellets from excessive rain, as well as preventing moisture from getting inside the grill itself, but the legs should be protected by the coating, even on the side that does not have just the synthetic wheels exposed. However, if you do see rust developing on the legs of your new grill, please reach out to us at 1-800-TRAEGER as soon as you notice it.
