This hinge is all the things. It swings both ways proudly, unapologetically, and upon my every whim. In these uncertain times, it’s a blessing to have this in my life.

Good wuality product for the price. Very easy to install and replace old set.

Easy to install and tighten and at first hinges seemed good to me. I have a fairly heavy wooden gate 4’ x 6’. Within a month the top hinge started to sag so much the latch doesnt line up. I can see the hinge flex from the weight if the gate if i lift the gate up. Its not the gate itself or the post, its the plastic latch thats giving. Would not recommend for heavy gate.

Even though our wooden gate exceeds the specs on the package by a little bit these hinges work very well to automatically close and latch our gate. The closure speed is consistent throughout which prevents slamming when the gate is under normal use.

I think this is a great product it is a great use for my gate. Cindy a woman at the Home Depot walked me right to them. When I was at Lowe’s they only pointed me in the general direction. I thank Cindy for her patience and her great customer service. She works at the Home Depot on va beach Blvd

I was unsure this hinge set would be strong enough to close my HEAVY wooden gate. I needed a self closing mechanism for a newly constructed pool. Much to my surprise, this was rated for 185 lbs, and worked like a charm. Passed inspection. Case closed!

Smaller then we thought but made it work

Not strong enough to close my gate.

Directions not clear on spacing needed between post & gate. Other than that, easy install, work well and self close adjustment met my needs in 2 different size and weight gates.

I have a 32” gate made from pressure treated wood and cedar on both sides. These hinges work awesome! Very clean look and operation!

Quick and easy install took less than 15 minutes. Well worth it on any fence with pool

The hinge need 1 stop before close because is to strong

Bought to keep gate closed so my lil monster dog doesn't escape. The spring gives increasingly strong resistance as the gate opens, but when nearly closed there's no force and the gate can stay ajar. Springs are so tight when opening wide it's pulling the wood apart and real hard to open.

The hinges are great and work fine but Home Depot does not sell the manufacturers safety caps that go on top of the hinges to prevent young children from using them as a stepping edge. This is frustrating and alarming and a safety hazard to both my children and the other children in the neighborhood

Cheap material and not what was expected

One hinge broke after only a couple of weeks of installing them.

unless there is a tension adjust the internal spring is really weak for a wooden gate, other than that the hinges are beefy enough to carry the weight of a wooden gate

This is a great product. It not only functions to close our wooden gate keeping access to our backyard and pool secure, this looks great on our gate. No more need for funky long retention spring to close gate. Highly recommended.

Works really well on my wooden gate. Used my own screws and oversized warshers for attachment. So far very happy, easy to adjust tension. We’ll see how they stand up to us light next year.

Did not receive item pictured & yes was correct item #. Home Depot said they must have revised item but not picture so disappointed & can’t get correct hinge.
