NOT a storm door.
This door looks very nice and is "okay" quality. However, it should not show up in searches for "STORM" security doors as it is in no way a storm door. It's only a screen door with NO way of putting glass inserts on it. I purchased it, had it delivered and installed before realizing this. It looks nice but I live in Illinois where we have hard winters and I'll probably have to replace it in the fall already. Very unhappy that I lost the cost of the door and cost to install it without realizing it really wasn't what I needed. The description should warn that's its not a storm door and it should NOT show up in searches for storm doors. Wish I could remove it, return it and get something more suitable for Northern Illinois weather.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, "
While this model only comes with the expanded metal screen or the perforated metal screen, we offer a large number of models that include glass as well as a variety of other screen options. These details are provided in each product listing."

Best Purchase ever
The door was easy to install. For a security door it is very attractive, also very sturdy including the screen. We just love it and it is a beautiful brown.

Not so good, but fair price.
Ordered online and had it shipped to store.
It's kind of ugly in person.
Door arrived already with some rust on it.
Paint is uneven. Has some drips.
Screen was dented in multiple places.
Driver bit included does not fit a standard impact wrench. It looks like it was meant to but they made it too big.
Standard lock sets do not fit flush.
Have to add some aftermarket thresholds and headers for bug tight fit. Nothing extra included.
It is the right size, but still have to add these.
Seems sturdy .

Unfortunately, all steel doors will rust. Proper manufacturing, preparation and powder coating will inhibit and delay it, but will NOT prevent it. Our steel doors are routinely tested to insure that these parameters are at or above industry standards. Doors constructed from aluminum alloy that carry a lifetime, rust-free guarantee and are up to 6x stronger than steel are available at Home Depot.

Don't buy this security door
Do NOT buy this door. It is soooooooooo noisy. Remember the string of cans that people used to drag behind their cars after they got married? That's what this door sounds like when you shut it. And if you happen to slam it, like so many doors are slammed, OMG it rattles like a 500 gallon container of bolts rolling down the street. Don't buy this door. When I can afford it, I'm dumping it and getting something better.
It did not install well either. IT didn't fit, the Installer had to bend out the hole where the dead bolt goes into because of door issues. Ugh!

When properly installed - including any required build out or shimming - the dead bolt area will not require any modification. Audible screen noise during operation is routine for security doors in this price range

SECURE IN VALUE
This Security Door is an excellent value for the price and looks great.
The Door looks even better with Brass Door Handle and Brass Lock.
It is best to have this Door professionally installed, as I would not
recommend that you do it yourself.
What Home Depot does not tell the customer and I believe they should is that they
subcontract the installation to another company who then subcontracts it again to
another company.

Nice looking door.
Overall its a good door and it looks great. My only complaint, I thought I could interchange with glass during the winter months and this door has a full metal screen thats sodered on to the door.

Quality screen, tough and yet totally see through. Needs better screw tool to install special bolts! Excellent value ON SALE!
Great strong door, looks good though color is more dark brown than copper. Works well.

Very nice!
This door is well made and finished. It's good and sturdy and looks better than many security doors on the market, which I think look cheap and pretty ugly.
I'm glad that I spent a little more and bought this door rather than my first choice which was not as nice. We will be living with it for quite a while from the looks of it.
The door is flat and square, which is more than I can say for my door frame, so it took me a while to compensate for the poor carpentry, but it's in now and looks good.

Easy installation and great looking too.
I purchased this door a few months ago to replace a standard screen door that kept getting damanged by kids and pets. I wanted a security door that doesn't look too much like I'm living in a prison. This door was the perfect fit. It's heavy, so you may need someone to help you carry it and move it into place. I used magazines to shim it up to the correct height and level. All you need for the installation is a drill, level, and a hammer. I had it installed in less than 30 minutes. The door looks nice, and the lock and door knob (sold separately) fit perfectly. I used black ones to match the door. I did use a bit of black window weatherstripping to keep the door from making too much noise when it slams shut (you can see it in the photo). I am very pleased with this door.

Nice looking, average quality, difficult to install, expensive to ship
The looks of the door, including its paint were very pleasing. The frame and door appear very sturdy. I did not like the fact that the two sides and top of the door frame were all separate pieces. This made it difficult to line up all 3 parts and install them level within the doorway. When I was done, the door would not sit level on all three sides of the frame. It works OK, but I don't think it is as strong as it would have been if the 3 sides of the door frame were welded together at the factory. I give an overall score of C+.

Industry standard for surface mount security doors is a 3-piece frame. While it can be slightly more difficult to work with during installation, this system makes the door compatible with a broad variety of entryway openings and mounting surfaces and is completely secure when properly installed.

Pleasantly Surprised by the Quality
Home Depot had the only reasonably priced double security door(s) that could be used for a French door, so I took a chance and ordered three doors (inlcuding the double door). I ordered despite some negative reviews, and after receiving and installing the doors I am pleasantly surprised by the quality. I have bought one previous security door from another store (for a different house) and these are as good if not better quality. It would be nice if the doors were supplied with 4 or 6 more mounting screws (for greater security), and it would be nice if the two holes for a door knob and deadbolt were further apart to aloow room for an electronic keypad deadbolt, but all in all the doors are well built, attractive, and worth the price.

Had some problems but they (I bought 3) serve the purpose
The doors look good and serve the purpose but the construction was iffy. The doors were not square and the finish was marred in spots. The price was good but after adding shipping it nearly doubled the price of not being able to purchase in the store and being forced to special order.
