The real product does NOT look like the listing photo. Take a good look at customer's uploaded pictures to get an idea of what you're buying. This does NOT provide privacy. The actual reeds are very spaced out. I tried to use this as a roof for a pergola and it still let 95% of the sunlight through. They are basically useless unless you layer 2-3 of them on top of each other, in which case the cost is not worth it when you can have many other products. I returned 4 packs of these to the store.

NOT HOW IT LOOKS IN REAL LIFE
Don't be fooled, there's at least half to 3/4 of an inch between reeds, no privacy at all!

Sticks are a quarter inch apart
This product is poorly made. If you’re planning on using this for shade, don’t. The spaces between each stick are huge. Nothing like they show you in the picture. The moment I opened it I knew I was going to return it.

I use this to hide the front hitch of my trailer and as a skirting (easy to cut to height). If you don't stretch it, it will minimize what's behind it, but you can still see through. Can always double it up to hide more.

It's pretty and natural looking.
Works well, pretty & natural. I just dont know how long it'll last. Hopefully, years. If you want true privacy, you'll need to double it up but it does give some privacy. (See pics) I used it on the chainlink fence which is my chicken yard, to keep them in and hopefully, the foxes out. I zip tied it to the fence and the top is not a firm surface that the chickens could perch on to get over it. Hopefully, the foxes won't be able to climb it either. It definitely improved the look of the chainlink, covering it.

No privacy
I'm usually good at reading reviews, but for some reason this time I believed the picture on the package and didn't do my research. Zero privacy provided by this fence as you can clearly see in the picture.

A tropical feel
Quality and number of reeds have gotten thinner over the years. It still adds some privacy to the back yard fence. This is my third time to purchase and replace the fence over the last 15 years or so.The reed gives the pool area a tropical feel. It certainly works for the price! My neighbor purchased after seeing mine.

Downgrade from previous product
I have purchased this reed fencing before and bought a new roll to replace weathered reed fencing from a few years ago..same company product. Now this product has half as many reeds so their is virtually no privacy screening. Very disappointing. The picture shows previous product on right and current on left.

Works for me
I built 2 planters that run on either side of a wrought iron fence. It would get so hot that it killed anything I planted. I hung this bamboo fencing on both sides & now my mandevilla, passion vine & jasmine all do well as they climb the bamboo

You get what you pay for.
This fencing worked well to just hide some trash barrels on my neighbors side of a chain link fence. For more privacy you can easily add another layer at this price point. That being said, it only held up 1yr in New England weather. Splitting, cracking at the ziptie locations under the pressure of the wind and snow. BUT, at $25 it's something you can buy each year. consider it the cost of typical landscaping products you buy every year anyway, like mulch, flowers, etc...

What you see isn't what you get
Wire holding it together is falling off, big spacing, flimsy junk. Not at all like the picture. Here is a picture of the fencing I purchased from HD years ago and what they are selling now.

A good cover-up, but I wouldn't use it for privacy.
I bought this reed fencing to cover block wall on my patio for a tropical effect. It works great since I doubled it up. Some rolls were 16' but others were only 13'. Otherwise, I'd give it 5 stars. It's good for what it is (so far).

Not for privacy
This product does not look like what they advsertise it as. But the photo on the packaging and the actual product are a gross misrepresentation. I've used this product in the past and it was made better, tighter reeds closer together.

If you’re in area with termites…
If you live in an area with termites, don’t even bother! We put it up against our block fencing in Arizona and it was eaten up by termites…they built tunnels all over it and when I washed them off with a hose, it was even more see-through.

WORST FENCING EVER - DO NOT BUY
This product should not be sold. First, this fence is no where near the 16' it claims. Laid out flat, it only measured 14'7" - and that was AFTER we stretched it to try to make it work. The reeds are in terrible shape: broken, bent, and with gaps you can put several fingers through. The wiring that holds the reeds together was sloppy and uneven, with multiple places where extra wiring was looped out back on itself. Product claims to 'conceal unsightly items' - it conceals nothing, there is ZERO privacy/shading/concealment to be had. I would have thought this was someone's scam return, except that it was vacuum sealed from the factory, and we bought two: both were exactly the same. I am really stunned that Home Depot even stocks this, it's beyond crap. Save yourself and don't buy!!

Keeps pesky birds away
Perfect application as a light duty barrier from unwanted animals. Cuts easily and can set in ground in a trench. Can be reinforced with larger bamboo sticks.

nooo privacy with this fencing
Its like a fence of air. Completely see through. Height and length are good. It would be more of a decorative fence overan existing fence

Too thin and flimsy
Got this for privacy to block neighbors from peeking in while we are in our hot tub. I have two teenagers, and my husband and I. I'd like to keep not only my husband's and I alone time private but also keep prying eyes off our teenagers when they go in. Sadly this was a bust. Too thin, flimsy and snaps while trying to set it up. Completely sew through. Even with two stacked on top of each other so if this was your idea skip it all together and get a privacy screen.

Perfect for what I needed
Saw photos of people using it as fencing and how sheer it was. Decided to go two layers on this as I really wanted it as a privacy screen. It is opaque enough for my purpose and it still lets a good breeze through.
It is a natural product so there are inconsistencies and the ends might need to be secured since the wire might come undone.
All in all, it was a perfect product for the purpose I had in mind.

Where did the fence go?
I installed a single roll of Bamboo Fencing on three 7-ft fence posts, spanning about 12 feet. When I told my wife I was finished, she said she'd look at it later. About a half-hour later, she asked me why I took the fence down? I told her I hadn't. She said she looked at it on our outdoor camera and didn't see it. I saw the same image and it was barely visible.
I'm attaching photos of the installed fence. It is not the same product as pictured. It is not the same product I expected. The density of the bamboo reeds in the product description picture is far more dense than the product I received.
There is a gap between each reed of at least the space of two reeds - sometimes 3 or 4. Makes for a pretty thin privacy fence. Even doubled-up, as you can see in the pics at the end of the fence on both sides, it isn't as dense as is shown in the product picture.
If I hadn't spent several hours and quite a few zip ties installing this, I'd pull it down and return it for a refund.
I believe I would need three rolls overlapping to achieve a density similar to what is represented in the product description and picture. I thought I'd only have to spend $25 on bamboo fencing to achieve my objective. Now, I know I need to spend three times that to achieve the same intended result.
I do feel I didn't get the product I thought I had ordered.
