Did not work right out of the package
Bought this to go with our new Weber grill, but the display wouldn't come on at all. Replaced the battery, and it worked once. Now the screen is blank and it won't come on at all again. Very disappointed in this product since I purchased it due to the Weber name and reputation and I am out the cost of the product and a new battery.

Need explanation as to intended use.
The instructions say operating range is 32F to 122F. Is this meant to check meat for cooked temperature or for checking safe temperature during storage? 122F is too low of a limit for cooked meat.

Poor battery contact
This thermometer would be great if it worked. I had it for 2 months and then the display would not come on. I took the battery cover off to replace the battery, but before I could get around to taking the battery out, the display came on when I applied pressure to the battery. If there was sufficient pressure for the battery to contact the circuit board, the display was on. Otherwise it was off. If Weber can get this right, this would be a great device.

Works great for only a short time
This is really a great thermometer, but it breaks quickly and easily. Make sure you hold on to those receipts if you want Weber to replace it when it breaks. You’ll likely need to utilize the two year warranty within 6 months of purchasing it!

Had to miss daughters wedding
Very disappointed. I couldn’t afford this thermometer but wanted it so bad that I spent an entire weekend collecting bottles and cans so I could justify it. I used it twice before it stopped working. Without the thermometer, we had to guess when the chicken was cooked. Unfortunately it just not have been cooked as my wife got horrible diarrhea and had to miss our daughters wedding.

Stops working
I bought this and used it about a half dozen times. Hand washed and kept it dry. Went to use it today and nothing! Changed the battery and still nothing! What’s the sense of having a hand help meat thermometer if it won’t work???

Mine did exactly what everyone else’s did. Screen becomes unreadable. Thought it was a battery, but unfortunately it is not. Didn’t drop it…was careful washing it. Screen just wigs out one day and you can’t read anything on it.

Cooked out
My husband gave this to me as a gift. It lasted 2 months. I hardly used it, possibly 6 times both on a grill and on a stove. I always hand washed it I made sure it pointed down so no water got in the mechanism when it was dried off with a towel we put it in the drawer. I take it out of the door tonight and I can't use it it's blank. Try to change the battery since I had one and nothing.. This is a total piece of junk. Was this made by someone else and put your name on it?

Not able to replace battery
The thermometer worked well but I can't seem to get the screw out of the back to replace the battery. I have tried and the screw won't come out and I have stripped it and now I won't be able to remove it. This is disappointing as I liked the auto off feature but if I can't replace the battery, it's useless to me.
