Works and seems accurate

Second purchase in past 18 months with defect out of the box. First unit displayed about 50 percent of characters. Second unit dead on arrival. Will not maintain power on displaying temperature after trying several new batteries including the original battery. Love Weber grills and other weber accessories but this thermometer should be avoided.

Junk from day 1 shuts off every time i use it Battery brand new

Had this for the past season but now nothing. Battery is new but will not turn on. These china made thermometers are losing customers for Weber. I am one of them!

This is my 2nd one, when it works it’s accurate. Went to replace the battery on 51992 and the screw is stripped! Tried all the tricks they over on line does not work

Same as many reviews here already, stop working, after few use, even changing battery, it doesn't turn on.

I recently bought a Weber grill and thought I would buy this Weber Instant Read thermometer. I used the Weber Instant read thermometer once and it shut off every time I place the thermometer in the meat.

Excellent and quick temperature probe. Extremely accurate

I have used this thermometer for baking as well as checking the temps in various items and works great. You have to remember to shut it off when you are done and wipe clean. The little rubber protector also needs to be put back on each time. Everything has their purpose.

Read temp perfectly. Steaks came out awesome and temp held. Thank you for a great product

Have had the thermometer for 2 years and left side of digits are starting to diappear. Replaced battery and issue did not resolve.

Been through two of these in the last year. If they get the slightest bit of water on them, they will no longer work!

Received for Christmas. Not even two months old. Display is all messed up. Digits are all skewed. Will replace with thermopen.

I’m on year 4 with this thermometer and it still works fine. Not sure if any changes has been made since then, but my version is great. I’ve even use it for oil and it hasn’t failed.

Reads double-digit numbers ok. After 99°F instead displaying 100° F it du displays 400°...and so on!!!

Don't waste your money. It stopped working after 2 or 3 uses. Replacing the battery did not fix the issue.

I was given this thermometer as a gift and used it about a year then it stopped working. Tried to change the battery but the tiniest screwdriver would not remove the screw. Ready to throw it away. Very disappointed.

Bought this from a local home store. Best instant read digital thermometer I’ve owned. But once the battery died, couldn’t get it working again. Tried 4 different batteries from 4 diffferent packs. No luck, it crapped out. Too bad, I really liked it.

Unit worked great at the start but now is by chance it will turn on or not, probaly used no more then 20 times

Had bought one of these years ago and it worked flawlessly for years. I've bought two replacements in the last few months and both have had the same problem; the display suddenly fades so as to be unreadable. This one failed within a month of purchase. When they work, they're great - that's just not been the case lately.

This thermometer is not worth the money. Using it casually, it got a little wet near the sink. A few moments later, the LCD screen started failing. By the end of the day, the thermometer stopped working. Even after setting the thermometer out for a few days, it still did not work. I bought a new one and the same thing after two months. Never again…

I’ve used these for quite a few years. The old ones worked great. Recently bought four more and they shut off, only show half the numbers, or won’t turn on at all.Very disappointed:(

Use this about twice a month. Suddenly only potions of the digital numbers appear on the screen making it impossible to read. Fully charged battery. Accurate when it works

Bought this thermometer this early this year . Got a few usages out of it then stopped working. Replaces the battery and won’t turn on .

Very disappointed been using for a few months quit working I replaced the battery but still doesn’t work I’m sure it won’t be replaced I don’t have receipt anymore

It melts very quickly if you accidentally let the lid down---
