I bought this product to use in my garage as the door opener light isn't very bright. One control is aimed to go on when the car pulls in. The other comes on when the door to the house is opened, or you walk from the car to the house door. So glad I have them.

The light performed as expected and responded to movement quickly.

I thought these would all be comparably the same and that I would not have to buy the more expensive one. Wrong, Several times I noticed it not activating the light as quickly as normal, then after one approximately 1 month it quit working. It would not turn on at all. In the dark.

Not reliable. Sometime they come on and sometime they don't. They do not always go off.

Purchased this bulb to provide light when motion was detected, so as not to have to leave a light on all day when I was coming home late. It works great- the fixture is really high, so I have to wave an arm to be sensed. But then it works great- exactly as hoped.

Works fine, pretty much idiot proof. The only thing I'd like to see on these things is the ability to rotate the pickup window to point towards your expected motion area, but you can just not screw it all the way in to accomplish this desire.

I tried this item in my garage first where I wanted to use it. I wouldn't work correctly or consistently. I tried it in a bedroom just to check it out. It worked fine there. Again I tried it in the garage. Again it wouldn't work. I think maybe the light was too high in the garage. Disappointed.

Purchased two of these recently and one works about 60% of the time and the other about 20% of the time. I can sometimes get them to work by jumping up and down and waving my arms so the extra physical exercise is a nice side benefit. The first one I purchased several years ago works 100% of the time so it is odd that the two recently purchased are faulty...maybe they changed factories.

This will be the third one very time the bulb blows it quit working

Needs to adapted to fit a clip on lamp shade. The naked bulb dos not look good.

Had this item for one month and it stopped working completely. Emailed product customer service and said they would replace it, once I paid to ship the broken item to them (NO WAY!). While it did work, it was a good purchase...but not worth $20 for a month of use. Do not buy this!

Installed in garage. Used with a CFL. Worked well for about first 6 months after purchase. Became unreliable and stopped working altogether 5 months later.

This thing worked for lesser than a month...... While it does work, it didn't work that well, either. The sensor didn't detect the motion well, and stay on for 10 mins is far too long.

Product does not respond to motion unless you create a shadow directly and closely in front of the sensor. Not much of a help when it is installed in the ceiling. I'm sick of waving a broom in front of it to turn it on.

I bought this product this past summer and it has already burned out. Convenient in idea--bad in execution. Do not waste your $20!

Overall the product does what its supposed to do. The sensor picks up movement accurately and is a great feature for basements, laundry rooms, anywhere you want quick light as you approach. Unfortunately the lifespan of the product is poor. I've bought two of these and each one has only lasted a year. The company has a 5 year warranty but the manufacturer requires that you ship it back to them at your expense. I'll ride it out with the ones I currently have but wouldn't buy it again.

bought 3 of these and none of them worked! product is complete dud, shouldn't even be carried in any store, they don't work.

I have my second one as the first one only lasted about two months. HD replaced it but the new one is failing about half the time. Also it stays on a lot longer than I would like.

A lot of light are left on in my house. This device is helping me lower my energy bill.

I got this to light up my garage when entering from the outside door. The first time I positioned it I got no response at all so I repositioned and managed to get it to come on. I exited the garage and waited for 12 minutes before I came in again and the light was still on. I unplugged it and then plugged it back in again and tried to get it come on but this time I had to wave my hand in front of it before it responded. One of the deal breakers for me even if it worked right was the length of time it stayed on- 10 minutes in my estimation is far too long. It is obviously not going to be reliable so back it goes.

we needed a solution for a rarely used room that the switch that turned the mounted light fixture on and off stopped working after 10 years. We installed this device and it gave the short term need for light during our infrequent visits in that room. Not sure how well the range works since ours is up high almost the top of a door frame high. Therefore the sensor does not respond as we enter the room but when we wave our fingers across the sensor it responds instantly.

I used this motion sensor for about 1 1/2 years and it stopped working.

Con:Product worked well for 2 years only. Pro: Turned on and off as indicated on the box. Worked well.

Like the other reviews, my purchased light control worked for a while and then the light stays on continuously. While the manufacturer offers a warranty replacement. A like article would seem to have identical problems and returning annually for the 5 year warranty period seems ludicrous.

I had this for a few months. It worked at first but suddenly died on me. Also the location of the motion detector should be designed to be adjustable as it can be facing the wrong direction after fully screwing it in. It would be nice if I can still return this item now as I've since discarded my receipt.

I just got this device and it work for the first 10 seconds where the light is to come on once activated...but it never turn off after 20 minutes....hmmm. I think that's a problem...returned to store.
