[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and I'm glad I did, it's been a game changer.

I bought the similar GE model but had to return it since the handle interfered with the neighboring drawer. This Whirlpool dishwasher is definitely sleek looking comparing it to other brands that don’t have a handle. Other than the handle, the GE model is better in almost every way. The GE is over 10 pounds heavier which you can tell by the build material. The front of the GE is extremely sturdy and almost fingerprint proof. The whirlpool is extremely flimsy, feeling like a piece of plastic and it is NOT fingerprint proof. Your fingerprints will show after every use. The racks are not as sturdy as GE, the silverware cady is cheap and doesn’t stay in its place, the GE buttons have more options and are aesthetically much nicer/modern, and the GE display screen is brighter. The door hinges seem to be either defective or poorly designed because you have to force the door open all of the way to access the bottom rack. This unit also occasionally squeaks while washing, again not sure if due to a product defect. Finally, GE has a built-in “garbage disposal” which means that you don’t have to clean a filter every 3 months like with Whirlpool. After reading reviews on websites for this product, you’ll quickly find out that Whirlpool has incentivized everybody who leaves a good review. Maybe the longevity is better? Guess only time will tell.

Bought new. Control Strip started peeling after 6 months but didn’t think anything of it. 1 week after warranty ended it started malfunctioning. 3 months later it stopped working entirely. Paid $150 for a 3rd party service call to learn that it would cost $620 to repair it. Can’t recommend enough that you should be careful about buying this because I see an identical complaint posted a week ago.

We looooove this dishwasher. After not having a dishwasher for a year and a half since we moved into our new house, this has saved us hours of washing by hand and peace of mind knowing it’s going to really clean everything so well. You never have to worry with this dishwasher. Also we love the third rack. It’s just all around an excellent dishwasher!

Dishwasher worked and is new, with the scratch stickers on it, but it just broke! The start button and control area became half-lit, showing only partial numbers. I reset the breaker to try fixing it, and it died entirely. The warranty doesn’t cover it, so there goes a thousand dollars. It seems water or steam gets under the electronic strip due to poor design; mine was peeling like water got inside. I bought this based on reviews, but it failed quickly. Never had an appliance die this fast

It run exceptionally long, but seems to not give exceptional results. I’m expected more from Whirlpool. I don’t care if this is published or not, I just want you to know.

Easy to install, super quiet, and dishes come out clean ?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new dishwasher, it's so quiet when it runs, I can fit in so many more dishes than my last dishwasher, I especially like the top 3rd rack the ease of adjusting the middle rack.

After waiting for an installation kit, it was five days until I could install this myself. After getting it hooked up and starting the test cycle (watch the video from the install manual), it promptly began flooding the floor (and laundry room below). In looking, the circulation pump housing was badly fractured. Mind you, this is in a location where you would have to make a concerted effort to apply pressure, meaning it couldn't have been the delivery guys, and frankly, not me (the installer), either. It doesn't contact the floor or crate, and you don't touch it during install. Meaning it left Whirlpool this way. Now, I'm waiting for Monday to schedule a repair person to come and assess the situation. We'll see what Whirlpool says, but this thing is off to a one-star start. And it's replacing a 15-year-old Bosch that I'm throwing out only because the same circulation pump went out on it, and the replacement (now also plastic as opposed to the original metal Bosch used 15 years ago) arrived broken. So, don't think you'll be better off buying a Bosch...

Beware! This dishwasher failed in only 2 1/2 years even with light usage (2-3 times per week)!! The top control panel plastic separated and has allowed water into the control electronics, making the appliance control panel unresponsive and then later beeping and shutting off. I believe the hot steam from the drying cycle damaged the plastic top of the control panel, so it is a faulty engineering design. I will never buy a top control panel again. If you buy this, get a good warranty.

The controls are easy to understand and with top control panel, its sleek blends well with my other appliances. I would definitely recommend this dishwasher. That 3rd rack for silverware is a game changer. The automated detection of soul and load size makes for longer cycle than I was used to. Full machine runs about a 3 hour cycle.

Easy to install yourself just wire it up and install just make sure your electric cord is grounded (Green wire) to the box and white on white an black on black, it’s very easily installed.

Replaced an older KitchenAid and totally happy with this one. Easy to install myself and is very quiet. Dishes come out sparkling. Haven’t had that for years.

The dishes don’t get entirely dry and the only way they get clean is if you select the sanitizing rinse and extra heat. The tasks are pretty flimsy but I guess they won’t break but not sure over time. I think I am going to return it if it is not too late.

We purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot and had a seam fail after one and a half years. Just out of warranty. Not only do we have to replace it, the leak has damaged our floors. Please do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake.

After spending over $800 on I what I hoped would be a quality washer, I now find myself in a horrible situation where the machine is past the 1-year manufacturer warranty and the controls electronics are non-functional. Despite the Whirlpool Warranty site saying (direct quote) "The electronic control system of Whirlpool® dishwashers are also covered under a four-year limited warranty beyond the first year after purchase", Whirlpool won't make good on a claim and they charge > $400 for the part.
