As other reviewers have noted, these liners are quite thin and light-weight, but the water does bead up on them. I'm using one as a curtain on the window over the bath tub, so for me, the thin fabric is a feature, not a bug. It keeps my very small bathroom well lit in the day light. I haven't seen any water getting through the fabric, but I didn't wash them yet. I had washable shower liners with grommets before, but the grommets fell out in the wash. I think the button-hole design will hold up much better.

While these may be curtain liners, the finish of this...
While these may be curtain liners, the finish of this fabric is as nice as most of the outer panels we’ve seen that are intended to be used with inner curtain liners. They went up straight out of the dryer and are just fine for us.
