    Very Dissapointed
I used this primer to cover sanded areas on my door and window trims. No matter what I tried, the primer sprayed texture junks everywhere. (See photos) This large spray tip may have been the worst invention ever. IMO, it collects and junks up the primer as it gets sprayed, and causes junks to release randomly. I suppose if this was advertised as texture spray, it would work just fine. I absolutely do not recommend.

This is not what we expect to hear! To ensure the best consistency, it is essential that Rust-Oleum Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Turbo Primer Spray is shaken for a full minute once the mixing ball starts to rattle. We also recommend shaking the can often during application.

      Don’t use.
Building light cove for my living room. Primed. Painted a few days later. Scribes to ceiling and taped to prevent jigsaw from damaging the finish. Pulled the tape and the paint and primer came off leaving bare wood. So upset right now!

We appreciate you reaching out and sharing your experience, Brett. In ideal conditions, Rust-Oleum Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Turbo Primer Spray reaches full cure and adhesion after 7 days. We recommend allowing the primer and paint to cure before taping over the surface.

        Sprayed popcorn...
Prepared and followed the instructions. Turned nozzle to black dot & pressed first pass popcorn (after test spray). After a few passes managed to cover patio table. Prepped bathroom and even used a shield. First pass good 2 1/2ft. Next thing I see is paint spots on the tile. Tape . an used newspaper to cover. News paper little overspray. 18 inches plus paint dots that dripped from nozzle. Even wiped and clean nozzle prior. Never happen with other products. Maybe a defective can.

Oh no, not something we like to hear. Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer with Turbo Spray System is a heavily pigmented primer. After vigorously shaking the can for at least one minute once the mixing balls starts to rattle, as well as frequently during use, the spray is typically excellent. Give us a call at 888-855-1774, so we can hear more about your application and try to make things right.

          Dried, dripping, crusty mess.
The primer itself is fine. But the spray can is awful. It tooks several test sprays to clear dried chunks of paint. The nozzle also dripped constantly. My guess would be that this can was old, but the location I bought from is very busy so I doubt it was sitting on the store shelf for an exceptional amount of time. I think it's just a bad product. Based on other reviews, it seems like this brand struggles with their sprays in general.

Leaks everywhere. Sprays coagulated globs all over everything.
If you buy this you'll need 2.5x the amount you calculated. I burned through 6 cans in about 10 minutes on a project and while the covrerage was great and the 10" fan spray saved time vs. a standard tip all 6 cans had the same problem others mentioned. Regardless of how much pressure was applied to the sprayer tip, about half of each can leaked out from the base of the sprayer, down my arms and legs, and feet. Even after shaking for several minutes prior to use, the coagulated primer splattered texture all over the place intermittently What should have been a quick and easy job turned into one that required an additional trip to the store for more product and about a quart of mineral spirits and 3 layers of skin to clean up my hands alone. Only bought this product because the competitive oil-based exterior primer was out of stock. I consider myself an expert spray-paint user and have used 1000+ cans of assorted spray paint over my career. I can achieve no-drip, single-coat finishes nearly every time. This product definitely does not work as intended. Super disappointing experience. How is there no QC check on these at the factory before they ship?!

Leakage and huge spots on the project
This product has got to be something wrong with the nozzle or the design. It never worked for me. I did not try just one can, I tried about 4 cans. Two large and two small of this primer. All leaks pretty bad, shaking the cans vigorously for over a min and then shaking quite often while spraying.. Nothing worked. Cans leaked pretty bad and I would caused me to rework my project multiple times. I doubt I would ever use this product.... This product dries very fast for sure. But amount of rework that it requires makes it useless for me.

Good product and pretty good applicator
Taking care to make sure the product is actually mixed you'll get good results with it. This is a good solution for people who don't want to switch between paint colors on there sprayers. A couple of tips: I've noticed you want to do at least two test sprays in the air before spraying your piece. You can get large clumps on the first couple of sprays. Not too big of a deal as this product sands smooth with almost no effort. If the nozzle clogs up you can just put a utility knife blade in it as it's a perfect fit and clears it in seconds. You'd save some money on buying the quart or gallon sized cans but the convivence for me makes this worth it.

                  Good coverage
Has realt good coverage and can make short work of a paint job. But given how much ut sprays, the can is used up pretty quick. I used a whole can just to cover one half of a corn hole board. This would be better for large flat surfaces. So i think for the next corn hole board, I will get one more if these, and some smaller regular spray cans for the tighter spots

This is my first time using this brand and this type spray can. First thing is the size of the can, make sure to follow the shaking directions, the next thing is the nozzle size. It is larger than others I've used, and it has a very wide spray patter, it is great for larger jobs requiring a lot of paint over a very large area, in a small amount of time. It covers well and dries quickly. I just used it on a small job to try it out, as seen in photos it did cover the left hand side of the top of my door.

This large can of primer spray is great to do a large area all at once covering about 25 square feet. I have been redoing a bathroom for longer than I care to remember because work comes 1st, bathroom last. I am getting ready to paint and this was just what I needed to get it done quicker. I taped off the areas so not to get overspray on tub and covered floor with paper. The spray was wide and I finished in less than 10 minutes. The can was too large for me to hold with one hand and shaking it for at least a minute and reshaking during spraying I used the entire can. I still prefer to roll it on and then I can reseal the cans for another day and it drys fast no matter which one you use anyway.

That is one tall can of paint! We have always gone to Zinsser Bulls Eye / Kilz for priming surfaces that you do not want bleeding though your paint. Like knots in pine. Bulls Eye works great and helps the paint to last that much longer. Paint has changed a lot over the past several years. Some of the changes have beed good others not so. The problem that I run into with modern paints is getting them to adhere to metal - like a steel door for example. Requires an inordinate amount of prep work - scuffing the surface and such. Zinsser primer grabs onto any surface and the paint really grabs the primer. We used this on some aluminum coil stock. Primer went on really well and the paint really adhered to the primer. I have seen paint on metal that you could just peel off with your thumbnail. If I am painting metal - especially for an outdoor project I would not go any other way. I do not want to put a lot of effort into a project just to see paint fail. With Zinsser primer that is just not going to happen - great product!

Great concept, it never worked for me. This size is meant for large projects. It has tall flat tip designed for 10 in. wide fan spray. The primer blocks stain and odors on difficult surfaces, resists blistering, peeling and mold and mildew growth, seals odors and creates a smooth finish for topcoat. It also hides dark colors, seals spackle and repairs drywall, per manufacturer. The can has to be vigorously shaken upside down until mixing balls begin to rattle, for a minimum of 60 seconds. Once product has mixed for 60 seconds, it is ready to spray For interior/exterior use on concrete, drywall, wood and non-galvanized metal Covers up to 25 sq. ft. with more primer output, saving time Perfect for hard-to-paint surfaces such as glass, tile, ceramic, shutters, railings and more Dries to touch in 30 minutes and is ready for any topcoat Cleans up with mineral spirits Innovative Turbo Spray System works 4 times faster This can never worked for me. It might be partly storage issue, the can was stored outside for a few days in 30s degree weather. All other spray cans work fine, though. The primer itself is great, I have used it before with success. It is likely this can design that is causing issues. I shook the can vigorously, cleaned the nozzle, but no spray came out. Some paint leaked under the cap but the can never sprayed properly. The idea is great, the product is lagging behind its potential, though. Overall, I would not recommend this particular size but the brand of primer works great.

Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 (26 oz) Turbo Gray Interior / Exterior Flat Primer Spray This is a huge can of gray indoor/outdoor primer, enough to cover approximately 15 sq ft. The 1-2-3 features are unique. 1 = blocks stains & odors 2 = resists blistering & peeling, mold & mildew growth and 3 = great coverage for smooth finish. This spray paint has a flat matte finish and can be used on all surfaces, dries very quickly but damp, cold weather really not appropriate as I tried for sake of review, it did take a bit longer to dry but was happy with end result. Only issue with this can is it’s a bit heavy and my cans tend to spit/ spatter even with the 13 oz cans. I’d hate to loose this much paint. I have purchased sets of new replacement spray nozzles due to this problem in the past. It can be cleaned up easily with mineral spirits and comes with a satisfaction guarantee for full refund (of purchased price).

What a nozzle! Great for big jobs. No more grabbing a few cans of spray paint to prime that tool, vehicle or machinery. If I had to categorize this it would be the Big Can with the Big Spray. In my case, my garden tractor's trailer bed was starting to rust in a few spots. Normally I would buy 3 or 4 cans and spray away. This one can took the place of all those smaller cans with that tiny spray. It also puts down a heavier coat of paint. Quick, even flow and thick application without runnning: Three top attributes. Zinsser is a top name in paint, and this product supports that claim. This is my new GoTo primer.

The large can of Zinsser Bulls Eye 1 2 3 turbo gray interior / exterior primer spray is great for large projects as its 26 oz. which is about twice the size of a regular size spray can. The Zinsser brand makes great primer and I have used it inside and outside to cover stains and water damaged walls. I have always been pleased that it covers and the stain will not show through. It also has good adhesion for the top coat. I did not realize it will seal out odors which is important if you have any fire damaged wood. With this large can it's important to shake it upside down until the ball starts to rattle and then continue for at least 60 seconds more. It's good practice to shake the can a few times as you spray the job. You might think the tall can would be a bit harder for some people to handle but it is not as heavy as a spray gun and has a better spray nozzle than a regular spray can. The spray nozzle gives a nice wide pattern about 8 or 10 inches and sprays more paint than a regular can so you have to get used to spraying a bit faster. It almost feels like a spray gun. I will use these larger cans for bigger jobs and Zinsser also sells this primer in a 13 oz can for smaller jobs.

The Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 primer is a great primer when you are doing a large area. The primer can says it is a Turbo Spray System which I believe is related to the wide area it sprays. The area is 10 inches wide and the extra tall design of the can must be what gives the Zinsser Bull's Eye primer the capacity. Zinsser is a Rustoluem company so you can trust the product. This is great when doing priming of paint projects for raw wood trim or color changing of latex wall paint if the room is not too large, think of bathroom or closet. It dries quick and it's supposed to be dry for top coating in 30 minutes. Like other Zinsser products this should do a great job of priming stains. It costs a bit more than using roll on primers but if you are looking to speed up the project and don't have an HVLP spray system, this may be a good choice for you.

As with most of the Zinsser products I've used, this primer is really excellent. It goes on quite thick, but not drippy, and you should be able to get by with one coat for most applications. The applicator itself is pretty amazing--It sprays 10-12 inches wide, so you will be able to use it on some pretty large jobs, covering a great deal of area very quickly.

Woof - I got a dud. After shaking the can I went to apply only to have a sputter of white powderish material come out and the nozzle instantly clog. I don't have any mineral spirits on hand so I would have soaked the nozzle immediately if possible. It's unfortunate as I had just used another can and can attest to the performance (when it works) It delivers a substantial amount of paint in a wide pattern. You could prime something like an interior door in probably 10 or less passes with full coverage, I was impressed. For this specific can, not so much.

Holy smokes I've never seen a spray can this size. To match the size it comes with an equally matched nozzle that throws down a 10" or more spread of paint. (Think a vertical line pattern almost like a chisel tip marker) You can apply a substantial amount of paint both in volume and coverage, it's awesome. This gray in particular had great coverage on the first pass right over a darker non finished plywood. Great stuff.

First just let me say that I absolutely LOVE Zinsser products! They have always been a first choice for me and my husband when we are working on a project that needs a quality product to be used as a cover coat - such as older furniture that I don't want to bleed through when I'm refinishing that piece, especially when I'm planning on using a lighter color paint. With this particular product I was priming Masonite board for a special art project for my dining room walls. Two 24x48 panels would be used because canvas of this size was far too hard to come by. I grabbed the mega can of Zinsser grey primer after shaking the can for a full two minutes. What happened next was beyond disappointing. The new fangled nozzle on the big can of paint proceeded to sputter out large drops of the primer onto my boards. It was definitely caused by the nozzle. For whatever reason this new nozzle is on these bigger cans. I just want the regular spray paint nozzles to return. This is now the third time that I've attempted to use a paint product with this type of nozzle, and they all spray big dots of paint instead of spraying a smooth fine spray mist of paint. It's a frustrating thing to deal with. Especially since the inside product is absolutely a stellar product to begin with. My wish is that they would please return to the normal spray nozzles very soon.

This is the largest can of spray paint I've even seen. Great for large projects with a large area to be covered, there doesn't seem to be an equal to a larger project. The nozzle is designed to spray a 10" wide path, which is awesome for some projects. I also like how it blocks odors. However, it's not for everyone. If you have a large project with a smaller field to spray, this will result in a lot of waste. If you can paint before assembly, that's the way to do it. I was planning on using this on some angle iron shelving units, but truly must be done before assembly. For some people the giant can could also be hard to use, and you do have exert some effort to shake it properly in order to get the best results. Which, again, if you think ahead, this would definitely be worth it for many different types of projects. It's much simpler for a large area than a brush. So as long as you make sure this is the right tool for the job, it's a great product.

First, these 26 oz cans are LARGE! They're tall and heavy and may be awkward for some people and/or applications. On the other hand, the large cans provide for a lot of coverage. The can size was not an issue for me. I got two cans of the primer: one gray, one bright white. I tried the primer on the steel entry door to our home, gray on one side, white on the other. Both colors worked equally well for my application. The fan nozzle really makes quick work of a door due to the wide coverage it provides. I read (and followed) the reviews and instructions that recommended keeping the contents mixed by frequent shaking and I didn't have any problems with it at all. No blobs or spatter...just nice, even coverage. It seems to be thicker than most other primers I've used, too. Once it was dry I painted the door without issue and the results were great. I'm very pleased. Follow the detailed instructions on the can and this product will work well for you. I'll definitely be buying more Zinsser when I have other projects needing to be primed and painted.

Zinsser bulls eye 1-2-3-26 oz turbo gray primer Is awesome I use a lot of spray primer and paint and this big can works great especially on bigger projects it covers even and about 6 to 8 inch swipe at a time. I also heard you can get this in bed liner that would be fantastic and I will look for it next time I go to get paint. This is top of the line name brand product and is just great. You have to try it.

This can of primer is huge! No more buying several cans of small primer for large jobs. The can is 26ozs vs the 10 oz. That come in the smaller cans. It also comes fitted with a "Turbo Tip" that fans out the spray for fast even and easy coverage of your primer job. Another great feature is its ready to be top coated in just 30 minutes. Highly recommended!

When I’m ready to do a project, I hate the time it takes to do the work of prepping and priming before I get to the good stuff and am able to paint the piece. This spray primer makes it so easy to just shake and spray to have a piece of furniture primed in no time, without worrying about thick brush strokes that will show when I paint it. The bottle is comically tall but easy to hold with one hand to shake and spray. Because it is so tall, I think it requires extra shaking to mix everything up. I’m anxious to see how it will work in trapping in odor from an old trunk that smells of moth balls!

ZINSSER BULLS EYE 1-2-3 26 OZ. TURBO GRAY INTERIOR/EXTERIOR PRIMER SPRAY, FLAT GRAY I have been using Bulls Eye for years it is my first choice or any metal refinishing job and smaller wall repairs. The paint is always a superior product. I was excited about the new faster nozzle, however it did not perform as expected. This can is twice the size as a normal can of the same product. It comes with a “high” output nozzle that releases a lot of product quickly. That is great for smooth larger surfaces, but no so good on anything with a bit of a contour. The nozzle was also prone to clumping at the start of spraying no matter how much I shook the can first. I had to wipe them off before it dried. I am a fan of the bigger can but this nozzle releases so much product at once that you really have to be on the ball in order not to waste it or over spray. This product is more for professional use. A rookie will be better off with a normal nozzle and the smaller can. I prefer the regular spray system and the smaller cans. I can trust what happens when I use them.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and providing this feedback on our new Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Turbo Spray! Since the high-output nozzle sprays more quickly than a traditional spray nozzle, we recommend testing on a scrap surface first to get the hang of it before applying to the project surface. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2 Rustoleum
