What do I need for my dorm?
We've got your dorm essentials. Utilize our moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning wipes and other cleaning products. Make your room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights and wall art. Power strips and extension cords let you place table lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with helpful products from your Topeka Home Depot.
How can I prepare my home for summer temps?
Be confident your home is ready for summertime temperatures by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for damage or rust that might let water leak inside. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.
Do you carry large moving boxes?
Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Enjoy power in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When exploring different generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
When is the August Kids Workshop?
Stop by the Kids Workshop to encourage future builders and craftspeople! Introduce your children to the joys of building with this rocket game. Constructing a small wooden spaceship is a great way to exercise creativity, fine motor skills, and listening abilities. This fun kids' project is happening on August 1, 2026, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last.
