Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

How long is The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale?

Prepare to save money when you shop The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale. We've got the major purchases you've been waiting to save on: outdoor power equipment, grills, patio furniture, appliances, and more. Some categories are up to 20% off, while others have select online items up to 40%! It's easy to snag unbelievable deals at our sale that runs May 14th through 27th in person at your local store or with our mobile app.

How can I prepare my home for fluctuating spring temps?

Be confident your home is ready for spring temperature changes by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your home. If water gets in the crevices, you could be looking at trouble. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roofing for damage that might let water leak in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.

Do you carry moving boxes?

Make moving or storage easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Don't forget to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those as well.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Enjoy power in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When exploring different generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.

What benefits do doorbell cameras have?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole or window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed.

Which project is featured at the free Kids Workshop?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop to encourage future craftspeople and builders! Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this goalie game. Constructing a kid-sized tabletop soccer game is a great way to exercise creativity, listening abilities, and fine motor skills. This fun kids' project is happening on June 6th, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
