What is Express Delivery, and is my store eligible?
Express Delivery is a same-day service that delivers products and job site supplies directly from your store to your doorstep. Be sure to place your order by 4 p.m. local time for delivery. Eligibility depends on item size, local stock, and driver availability. Set your local store in The Home Depot app or online to check availability. Qualifying items will feature an Express Delivery tag in your cart and during checkout (excludes aerosols, bulk orders, and custom mixed paint). Express Delivery orders may be subject to additional delivery charges.
What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?
Be certain your home is ready for summer temps by replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. On the exterior of your home, examine shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that might let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're in poor condition. Also, check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. If water gets inside the crevices, you could be looking at trouble.
Do you carry wardrobe moving boxes?
Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or hurricanes, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators are more expensive than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window when you can view animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
