Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have a garage storage sale?

The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale is here, so it's time to get shopping. From storage bins to garage bundles, we've got bargains on what you want for a clean and neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales online or in-store from June 22nd through August 18th, and make this the year you sort out the basement and the garage.

What do I do to prepare my home for scorching summer temps?

Be confident your home is equipped for relentless summer weather by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your home. On your house's exterior, examine shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that might let water come in. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If water gets in the crevices, you could be looking at a problem.

What kinds of moving boxes do you carry?

Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When exploring different generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through an adjacent window when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

What's the project at the August Home Depot Kids Workshop?

Stop by the Kids Workshop to encourage future builders! Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this rocket game. Constructing a wooden spaceship toy is a great way to sharpen fine motor skills, listening abilities, and creativity. This cute kids' project is happening on August 1st, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.

Don't trust taped box lids, you might be disappointed when you get home.
I bought this power tool battery/charger kit over the weekend that was sealed with clear tape and after I got home to use it, I found that the items inside were old and well used. Buyer beware! Make sure you know what you're buying at this store

Overworked Employees Lead to Errors for Customers
Wrong Product or Product not as Described (Barrette Outdoor Living Redwood Privacy Diamond Vinyl Lattice- Framed 4ftx8ft) Guidelines from Home Depot to post this review instruct not to post about customer service, only the product. Without going into details about customer service: this incorrect order stems from overworked, understaffed employees in central warehouse, in store loading dock, and at store customer service desks. Five stars for an employee with high work ethic, which is why the review is overall two stars, not one. Treat employees better, and maybe you can be fully staffed again someday, which will result in better Product Reviews.

        Love the staff
Inventory aside, the staff are what makes a good store. The staff here are lovely and welcoming. They're especially dog friendly.

These guys have the best attitude and always willing to help. They don’t always know how but that’s ok.
I come in here all the time and have never had a negative experience with any staff members.

            Great Workers
I am a small older woman and had two dollies of wood products. I was helped by several workers who actually came to me and offered the help. Also, thanks for cutting 7 sheets of plywood in half so I could lift them once I got home.

Garden employee was not very helpful or knowledgeable about where plants might be or if they were even stocked. Did not offer to help. Cashier was super nice and helpful. I did find some great markdown on some plants.

                Great selection!
We purchased fencing and stain last fall to replace a backyard fence. Very easy process. I returned yesterday for more stain and was on my way home I no time
