I bought this power tool battery/charger kit over the weekend that was sealed with clear tape and after I got home to use it, I found that the items inside were old and well used. Buyer beware! Make sure you know what you're buying at this store

Wrong Product or Product not as Described (Barrette Outdoor Living Redwood Privacy Diamond Vinyl Lattice- Framed 4ftx8ft) Guidelines from Home Depot to post this review instruct not to post about customer service, only the product. Without going into details about customer service: this incorrect order stems from overworked, understaffed employees in central warehouse, in store loading dock, and at store customer service desks. Five stars for an employee with high work ethic, which is why the review is overall two stars, not one. Treat employees better, and maybe you can be fully staffed again someday, which will result in better Product Reviews.

I bought one product online and the entire process, including pick up was so smooth. They have a simple locker process. The order was ready within 30 minutes of store opening. A lot easier than many stores. I did need to get other products (gifts) and I was unsure how to find/describe. 2 different employees walked with me to products right away making that process smooth as well. After all the holiday rushing around it was a big relief!

Needed styrofoam covers for vents since its fall. Home Depot had the quantity I needed. Affordable prices. Staff was professional, took me right to the section I needs to be in and offered to help me with anything else I needed.Great location and wonderful staff.

Website showed two items I needed in stock at this specific location. Got there and they had neither in stock. Talked to 3 employees and they also found that both items showed in stock. Why even show this on the website if it is not accurate? Why provide inaccurate information to your customers and have them travel to the store it was a waste of time?

Can’t complain as they were willing to help

I'm not usually a fan of chain stores. I have really grown to love this location. Employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Almost everyone at this location seems happy and down to earth. This location is now my #1 chain home improvement store in my area.

It’s like every employee lives in their parents basement. They don’t know what anything is if you ask them. I asked for a gas hose, they sent me to garden hoses. I asked for firewood for camping, they sent me to BBQ wood chips. It’s like they just give you a complicated set of turns and shrug you off. I had to return everything I bought because none of it fit my grill. I didn’t have food on my camping trip for two days because every town I went to that had a Home Depot, the employees knew nothing about their products or customer service. Disappointing and infuriating. Never shopping at any Home Depot on the west coast again.

Bought a cadet riding mower employees showed how to run mower and helped load it into back of pickup

The staff at this Home Depot are all very nice. Every employee you encounter greets you with a warm smile. If you linger in one area for a while, someone will come over and ask if you need assistance. It really leaves a great impression!

Overall, just a shocking level of incompetence, a total lack of customer service.

Store 4004 on Glen Widing in Portland is outstanding. I had a world-class customer service experience that left me smiling. Even if you live in Vancouver, you should visit this store; you will be pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and support they provide.

Pro desk picked up the phone every time I called unlike other stores. Great service.

your returns or refunds operations are severely inconsistent. your associates and their managers just randomly choose how they want to deal with a refund depending upon how they are feeling that day. I have bought equipment and things worth thousands of dollars from HD over the years. I recently bought JD Lawn mower, and I have had to return and buy it again, and this time upgrade to an even more expensive model only because the one I wanted was not in stock. Once it was delivered, there were noticeable scratches on the deck. it was properly packed atop wooden crates, so the damage had to have happened before you shipped it. I called HD and was told there is nothing they can do over the phone and to bring pictures which I did. Only to go to the store to be told that sorry it is 'too late', and I can take a $100 if I want. The mower itself is $3000, what am I supposed to do with the 100 bucks. I am too exhausted to return this a second time and buy again a third time only to keep losing the money on delivery charges that BTW dont get refunded. Very bad experience. Next time I will buy directly from JD and will never purchase high-cost items form your store.

Great staff and just a good experience

The store has almost no staff and a few that you might encounter and know nothing about their products apart from being able to read the box. You are forced to use self checkout and there is no one to help you as you struggle to get things to your car. The few people working there seem decent but overwhelmed. It is obviously management's decision that this should be a horrible place to shop.

I went to the SE Portland Mall 205 Home Depot to pick up an online order. I decided to check out the garden section and I was underwhelmed how little they had.

I found all the materials I need in one place.

I placed an order on 5/16 they changed the delivery time on me 3 different times. Then after waiting over 11 days for the product. they tell me a delivery window time. They never showed up during that window. Cancelled the delivery and never called or emailed to tell me. You are better off paying a little bit more and working with a local standard tv and appliance than depending on Home Depot to give you quality customer service.

Not reviewing a product, just a shout out to Paul the employee who went well beyond the level of service I expected on 5/26 and helped load our new BGQ onto the back of our pick up and tied it down it down as well as helping us buy a tank of propane. We’re older and couldn’t have done it alone. Thank you Paul!

I think all of home depot here in one could use a little more customer service which is a lost art anymore. I've noticed never can find no one to answer a question when you need one answered . If your very knowledgeable in home improvement it's a great store if your not it can be overwhelming for some. Thank you

I buy lumber, nuts and bolts and screws and sometimes tools and now I am saving up to buy a worm drive Hilton saw you have for $409.00 , I have always wanted one

If you need help designing cabinets ask for Dorothy. She spent a lot of time with me to make sure I was taken care of. Thought of issue and ideas I didn’t think of, was mindful of my budget and helping me stay within it, and very friendly and knowledgeable with picking appliances as well.

I didn’t find 10 bags of sand

I had the most INCREDIBLE experience during my visit to Home Depot store 4004 yesterday. I have just purchased my first ever home and was looking for my first ever Christmas tree. I fell in love with the viral Dutchess 9ft tree, and the website showed just one in stock at this location. When I got there, we realized that it was the display model. The incredibly kind and thoughtful employees (Dave, Tyler, and Ruby) not only offered to sell it to me, they took their time taking it apart, carefully wrapping it up, and gave me an unbelievably good discount to boot!! It absolutely made my day. This tree is sold out everywhere, in store and online, and here I got my dream tree at a steal of a price. Still can’t believe it! Huge thanks to Dave, Tyler, and Ruby—because of you, our family is going to have the merriest of Christmases. :) THANK YOU!!!

I will continue to shop at the NE Home Depot located in NE airport way Portland, Oregon. The staff are kind, friendly, helpful especially, Holly the store manager, and Louie (staff) were a great help.

I went to get some wood and tried to get somebody to help me get it cut remind you I'm in a wheelchair took 20 minutes if not more after being acknowledging 10 minutes whenever arrived that somebody would be right over I end up waiting over 30 minutes an older man greeted me and cut my wood for me he was very polite but the other two didn't have the time of day

We were getting 10 gallons of paint for an outdoor painting project. Hazel assisted us and was absolutely amazing. They knew we were in a bit of a time crunch and went out of their way to help and tried to be as quick as possible for mixing the 10 1-gallon cans of paint. In waiting for our paint to be mixed, I witness them assist other customers and it was very apparent they were very knowledgeable when it comes to paint. Very impressed!

I purchased laminate wood flooring, trying to match using the app was very helpful. My original choice was online only. However once getting the product home, it may very well be a better match.
