Does The Home Depot have a storage sale?
Get organized this year and enjoy better productivity. Projects are easier when you can find your tools. The Home Depot Storage Sale runs 6/22–8/18 in-store and online, and you can save on storage bins, garage cabinets, garage shelving, and storage systems by your favorite brands. We've got garage storage deals on everything you'll need for an organized garage or shed.
How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?
Make certain your home is equipped for summer temps by repairing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. If moisture gets in the cracks, you might be looking at trouble. On the outside of your house, inspect roof shingles or metal roofing for damage that may let water in. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent water overflow from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
Do you have specialty moving boxes?
Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or hurricanes, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, don't forget that inverter generators are pricier than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole or window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
What's the project for the free Kids Workshop in August?
Head to our Kids Workshop on August 1st, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a wooden rocket game! Your little builder can assemble their very own rocket craft — like the real thing but kid-sized. Don't forget to leave some time to watch your rocket climb the ladder into orbit!
