How can I prep my home for flip-flopping spring temps?
Be confident your home is ready for wild temperature swings by repairing or replacing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. If moisture gets in the crevices, you could be dealing with mold. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your house, inspect metal roofs or shingles for rust or damage that might let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
What types of moving boxes do you have?
Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make your move easier. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, or blizzards, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
What's the project at the June Home Depot Kids Workshop?
Head to our Kids Workshop from 9–noon on 6/6/26. Introduce your children to the joys of building with this pint-sized soccer field. Constructing this tiny soccer game, reminiscent of the full-size tables, is a great way to sharpen listening abilities, fine motor skills, and creativity. Team up with your little ones to make this fun craft while supplies last. The best part is playing the game, so leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!
