Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have a storage sale?

The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale is here, so it's time to get shopping. From garage shelving to tool chests, we've got deals on everything you want for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales from June 22–August 18, and make this the year you finally organize the shed, basement, and garage.

Will a homework spot at home help my kids?

Ready your kids for success, whether they're doing homework or being homeschooled, with their own learning space. Help them stay focused with a desk lamp and a writing desk that fits them. Personalize it with desk organizers and office supplies in their favorite colors and designs. Don't forget the writing utensils! You'll find many necessary back-to-school supplies at your South Home Depot.

How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?

Make certain your home is ready for summertime heat by replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping. If moisture gets in the crevices, you might be looking at trouble. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On your home's exterior, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that could let water leak in. Keep gutters clear of debris to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

Do you offer moving boxes?

Make moving or storage easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

What's the project for the free Kids Workshop?

Stop by for the Kids Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on August 1st. Sign up for free to build a tiny rocket game. We provide the materials and you provide the creativity. Team up with your kids to make this quick craft while supplies last. Remember to enjoy the fruits of your labor and leave some time to play with others!
