How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?
Be confident your home is ready for summertime heat by replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. If water gets inside the cracks, you could be looking at trouble. On your house's exterior, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for damage that can let water in. Keep gutters clear of debris to keep rain overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
What types of moving boxes do you have?
Make moving or storage easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
What benefits do doorbell cameras have?
Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through an adjacent window when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
What's this month's project for the free Kids Workshop?
Stop by our Kids Workshop to encourage future craftspeople and builders! Introduce your children to the joys of building with this go-kart toy. Constructing a kid-sized wooden toy with wheels is a great way to exercise listening abilities, creativity, and fine motor skills. This fun kids' project is happening on 7/4/26, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
