What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

The salesman who helped me in appliance was nice however, I went in for a French door I saw online. It wasn’t at store. So I got side by side that was the same price and a washer because I just moved to a new house. He informed me that the soonest delivery would be a week! Because I had my three children with me and didn’t want to continue appliance shopping like this during a pandemic I reluctantly agreed. A week later the washer showed up but fridge did not and was suddenly a back order issue. I spoke to Customer Service, I spoke to the manufacturer directly and they said it would be another week before I have a fridge. So I chose to forgive and continue on. Here we are two weeks later and I receive a voicemail From the manufacture automated, stating that the next time is November 7, 2020!! When I purchased this fridge the whole reason that I purchased it was because it was not on back order so I don’t know how this happened. Even to cancel my order it was a major problem. I spoke to Customer Service again this afternoon and she said if I don’t go into the Home Depot to get my refund put on my debit card they would be mailing me a check! I just moved so that is not a viable option! My address is a new build community and not registering with US PS . I have to use a PO Box right now and this purchase of a Fridge has been the biggest headache I have had with the new move.

As a loyal customer many years in Home Depot and each year I bought lots of materials from Home Depot, I have never been treated in this way. This cashier Kayla was not only impolite to me but also stole my money. As an Asian contractor, I felt I have been discriminated against and stolen this time. Hope your company can take the problem seriously and solve it properly otherwise you will lose customers easily.

I went in to Sycamore home depot to buy some flooring This store had it clearance out. For the amount needed, they found the Allen store and stated they had it. The associate called and per their conversation, the number was not showing in their system. They also stated that it might be on clearance since it was not showing up on homedepot.com but was showing in their phone. I went back later in the day and asked if they could reconfirm with that store. The associate at Allen stated they could not pull up the sku in their system but mentioned another store had it. I drove an hour to the store, Dominic who assisted me was able to pull up the sku and stated he needed to find it. After about 20 or so minutes, he came back and stated it was nowhere to be found including receiving. This was a lie but did not call him out on it. It was behind two stacks of flooring with a big tag that had the sku. A manager was called (Matt) who came and said that it had been transferred in for another customer. However, his explanation on why he was still showing counts for the products sounded flimsy and like an excuse. If they had just been honest from the get go, I would be ok. 2 1/2 hours driving to the store to verify something they could have done on the phone was disappointing. Getting here and still not getting a straight answer was worse. Getting more stories on why it could not be done after waiting was even worse.

I would recommend this store , only because of Steven Marquez delivers top notch service! Edna, the front cashier lady was not too friendly and actually accused me of stealing an item that I was making a simple exchange at the customer service desk. This is not typical behavior at this location that I experienced today and I hope Edna gets it together because everyone should be treated equally and fair, and not judged by the color of their skin.
