How do I stop cold air around the door?
If you have cold air seeping in under the door, fix it to prevent higher heating bills and keep your house cozy. When a house settles unevenly, pieces that once fit snugly can go off-kilter. Gaps can form around the sides of doors or the thresholds may loosen with time. Fill the space with weather stripping or foam tape, and caulk any cracks in the wooden door frame. If you're still feeling drafts around the door, place an insulated fabric door snake along the ground.

What projects can I work on when the weather's cold?
In colder climates, it's challenging to work out in the elements. However, a chilly day may be a good time to rake leaves or give the mulch in the garden a stir. A few days organizing the basement, shed, or garage will pay off when the weather warms. You won't have to replace lost tools with new ones because you can find what you've got. Polish up the tools, clean the rest of the house with cleaning tools, and you'll be ready when it's planting time.

How can chainsaws help with yard and tree cleanup?
If you've got spare wood and extra wooden pallets sitting unused in a corner, cut them into pieces with a chainsaw in the springtime so you can store them or get rid of the wood. Spring is a good time to organize the firewood pile and trim any broken branches from trees too. Before firing up your Ryobi chainsaw, ensure that the chain isn't dull or rusted and that it's been oiled. Then, while wearing the proper safety equipment, use your electric or gas chainsaw to cut the wood. Make pieces the same size for easier storage.

Are Kids Workshops offered at the Bossier City Home Depot?
Yes, the Bossier City store does offer in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. You may secure your Kids Workshop kit by registering online for the event. We have a new kit pack every month to keep your little doer engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Visit our customer service counter or call us to order your kit.

How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Home Depot gift cards are a popular choice during the holiday season or for any special occasion. DIYers know they're fun to give and to receive. You can buy gift cards online at homedepot.com or in our brick-and-mortar stores. If you receive a gift card, you can visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Redeem our gift cards for online or in-store shopping, all with no additional fees.

Nice place to shop (for the most part)
I have been coming to the Home Depot for a decade and have for the most part received exceptional customer service. Bring a recent visit. I had a negative experience with a returns clerk named Carolyn. That was rude, short with me, and walked away in the middle of a transaction.. that transaction was completed. I collected my own receipt as she had walked away. I would Recommend visiting this location as almost everyone out on the floor is very nice and helpful. I would recommend avoiding the returns counter as you may potentially reach some rude individuals.
