These people actually help
This is my main and only store, because everyone there helps. Except for the people sitting behind the desk by the tools section, dont even bother asking them. Everyone else on the floor is awesome!

Crooks
I purchases some string lights. During checkout, they somehow snuck a protection plan onto the purchase. This was done in a way that was not obvious when it happened. I have cancelled the plan, but that was yet another thing for me to do.
This type of sneaky behavior damages their brand and treats their customers like trash.

Great store & service
Went there to get a furnace filter & other items. The store clerk told where to go and even showed us where one of the items were & helped us decide on which filter to get. They had exactly what we were looking for and checkout was fast. Enjoyable experience, would definately recommend this store to everyone.

This store lacks customer service
Majority of the employees at this location do not provide any customer service. Many times I use self checkout because I don’t want to deal with yet another rude cashier. It’s so hard to find an employee to help you find anything in the store. But you can always find a group of them huddle together shooting the breeze and taking a while to finally stop their conversation to address you.

Light fixture Issue
This product, Port Oxford, has subpar instructions (incorrect diagrams, no hardware specs). The screw lengths provided in kit, did not allow for tight exterior wall mounting. HD did not stock(find?) these simple metric screws. The solution from HD Support, was to just return it. This does not fix the product issue. I guess I have to find another product that I like from another store chain, and hope its foreign manufacturer is better at kitting their product. Or one that is better at stocking specialized hardware.

Great customer service
Kayla was so helpful getting us a wonderful Christmas tree for next year. Going the extra mile to find an outlet so we could test the lights, she helped load it into a storage container and walked with us to checkout to make sure the price was right. Great job!

Need a kitchen make over? Go to Amy!
We completely redid our kitchen last year. Amy helped us plan. She did an excellent job, providing options and prices but the best thing she did was help us maximize space for our money. She also provided excellent service from beginning to the end of the project. I often think of her when I'm using my new kitchen.

Where are the employees hiding?

POOR STAFFING
Wanted to complete a simple task on a weekend, but had to return to the store due to poor staffing practices by management. Service at this store is going downhill lately.

OUTSTANDING customer service
We were desperate to find a generator, space heaters, extension cords, etc. when it looked like the deep cold would bust all the pipes in our house. The team at this store worked so hard to help us get everything we needed and they were wildly patient. I've never received such amazing customer service. In particular, Cam was a rockstar. Thanks!!!

Broomfield is better than Westminster
I drive a few miles further to go to Broomfield, but it is worth the drive. The aisles seem a little wider, the lighting brighter, and the employees more helpful. I have never pulled out a tape measure to verify, or a lamp meter for light, but the store sure seems brighter. Both stores face the South.

Great store and employees but had one bad experience
My recent experience with Bridget was disappointing. I came in to return product and never felt so disrespected in a retail store.
I came in to make a return, had a weird experience where I could only get store credit even though I had the Home Depot card and even after swiped it to get the return. Regardless I was fine with it because I had to go buy more items while I was there. The experience I got next was unprofessional.
She had to scan my ID; (which I never had to do before), and then she had to scan it again for a separate return I had, even though I had the card. When she scanned it the second time the return wouldn’t process. She then asked a question, “do you have to use your ID often to make your returns” to which I responded politely, “no”. She then proceeds to say well, “you must because it won’t let me process the return with your ID, and that only happens when you use your ID often.” To which I then responded, (knowing what she inferring to), “that I’ve never had to use my ID before.” The fact that the conversation wasn’t over at my response of “no” was unnecessary.
The part I that blew my mind was what happened next. As she received help from another seasoned associate, she then made a disparaging comment that employee in a soft voice, “he is being very adamant that he’s never had to use his ID before.” It took everything I had not to make a comment to her again. I was shocked that she was opening making comments about a customer in front of that customer.
I am just really frustrated with the whole process, and can’t believe that the exchanged took place. And once again I love this store, and everyone has always been so helpful. Just was very disappointed and even more so because I go out of my way to make sure I provide respect those individuals that I would like to receive.

Store is generally helpful and ran smoothly. However for online pickup for curbside service you cant call ahead to pro desk or customer service and have them get your order ready ahead of time. It recently took an hour to get drywall i ordered up to the front with forklift even though i was texted the order was ready and called ahead to confirm. I sat at customer service with only 1 person working the desk for 20 min for them to return. Then I was supposed to pic up near lumber at the pro desk and no one was working pro desk on a Saturday! To make matters worse it took them 45 min to get someone at lumber registers to call for a forklift to get order. THE ENTIRE REASON FOR PREOREDERIN ONLINE AND CALL AHEAD FOR CURBSIDE WAS TO GET THE ORDER IN A TIMELY FASHION WHILE I HAD A CREW WAITING TO UNLOAD AT MY HOME. I would've gotten it in same hr had I walked in the store not preordered 60 sheets for convenience online. Absolute catasprophe as far as customer service for an online order!!! cost me an hour of a crews time which i had to pay for and 9 sheets were broken of the 60 I ordered.

My favorite Home Depot, thanks to the staff who are friendly & helpful. Merch is the same in all the stores, am I right? so it’s the people in it who make the difference & how they clean/organize their departments.
One thing to work on- the garden center checkout, it’s a choke point & backs up
frequently. No where to line up for check out that is not blocking people shopping, line then splits & hard to know where the end is and who is next, outbound flow usually with full/unwieldy carts are dodging inbound customers, not to mention hoses for watering, the carts when full don’t roll over those easily, total cluster when you add in the growers trying to stock on certain days, yikes, this needs a new
flow!
My ideas-
Perhaps a well marked one way in, with a turnstyle to stop outbound usage, carts readily avail next to that entrance.
Four check outs with a clear place to line up, or add temporary check outs to the parking lot fenced area in high season. Or maybe mobile cashiers with handhelds scanning in line then order is ready once reaching cashier. Checking out full garden carts with multiple 4/6 packs etc is a tedious process.
Open up the west wall, a lot of good space there, move all that dirt to the back wall or out into the parking lot section, use the display sheds for storage?
Sod needs daily water & more shade.
Clearly marked plant sections, big signs, grouped togethers- annuals, perennials & those two divided by sun plants/shade plants, then evergreens also noting the broadleaf evergreens, vegetables, herbs, trees, shrub
All preplanted flowers pots/baskets together in their own section.
A separate entrance for growers to stock & parking for their trucks, out of the way.
And it would be super helpful, in high season, to have an info/welcome point, a hightop table under an umbrella with a staff member who can who can advise whats in stock, maybe a chalkboard advising when your next delivery arriving, I know getting plants fresh off the truck feels like a bonus.
My two cents maybe that’s more like a quarters worth
