Exclusive Savings on the Brands Pros Trust

Many of our customers come from extensive labor backgrounds, including designers, builders, contractors, property managers, and other skilled professions. This Pro Appreciation event honors those hardworking individuals and their efforts by offering big savings on the tools and equipment they know and trust. Take advantage of this savings March 18-24 and join us in-store on March 21 from 7:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. for free food, prizes and more.

Great Lawns Start With the Right Care

Choose from our selection of fertilizers from popular name brands and enjoy a lush lawn all spring. Granular fertilizer with a time-release formula gives you more control over your lawn feeding schedule. You can also try quick-release liquid fertilizer, which gives your grass immediate results when it comes to growth and color. If you’re environmentally conscious, we offer plenty of all-natural fertilizers that nourish your lawn with organic matter. Be sure to pick up a spreader to distribute your fertilizer. Broadcast spreaders are a classic choice for a wide area. For smaller lawns, stick with a handheld spreader and if you want to control the range of your fertilizer, choose a drop spreader.

Safeguard Your Home and Family

Don’t wait until an emergency arises -- make safety a part of your spring-cleaning routine to ensure your family is protected from common household hazards. Test all of your carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors to see if they need new batteries or if their expiration date is approaching. Most detectors have a life span of 5-10 years and need to be replaced as that date approaches. There are a lot of great new options available, so you may also want to upgrade to chirpless smoke detectors or “worry-free” devices with a 10-year battery life. Be sure to also check your fire extinguishers. You’ll want to make sure they’re in good working order and that you have the right number and kind of fire extinguishers based on the size and makeup of your home.

The Cumberland store is the closest store to me and I go there a lot. Today’s visit was terrible. The garden center was open only if you wanted to come through the main building doors, get whatever you wanted and haul it all the way to nearly the opposite end of the store to check out. When I questioned opening the garden center registers and getting some help, I was told at customer service that it was too cold to open. This was at 11:30 am and the temp outside was 46 degrees. I was in the store the day before when it was in the 20’s and the garden center registers were open and help was available, so this made no sense. Outside, plants were being unloaded and customers were trying to shop, in a very difficult situation. I came to the store to buy 8 16x16 stepping stones. These stones are heavy. There was no one to help me and to purchase them I had to load them myself and drag the flatbed from one end of the store to the other, then get them to my vehicle that I had parked near the garden area before I realized the doors were locked and registers closed. Finally, at checkout, I was told that all the gardening employees are having to help with inventory today and that’s why the garden center is not open for help or check out. What a terrible thing to do to your customers! And even more so for customer service to lie to me saying it is too cold to open the registers. I was in the garden center the day before when it was still in the upper 20’s and the registers were open and I checked out there. I think it is inexcusable to pull all the garden center employees away to take inventory. You have made a very loyal customer very upset.

This is a store close to HD corporate headquarters. It is a busy store most of the time and because there are so many bigshots trying to see how to push their projects on the stores so it gets some extra attention because no one want to screw up. In the same breath, those guys are often seen blocking isles and having meetings with their coworkers and looking at customers like they are stupid.

This is the best Home Depot location I have ever been in. All employees are helpful. The store is clean and has great products. Leana Jones in appliances is amazing and helped my husband and I purchase new kitchen appliances. She spent over an hour with us going over different brands, key functions and helped us find the best deal possible. We are so happy to have had her outstanding help on such a big purchase. Will continue shopping here for sure!

It is a friendly store clean and organized. Very convenient the location close to the highway 285 and 75. It has a covered parking area for contractors and this is a pro when you are loading the materials and it is raining. It's my second home away from home.

My wife and I are doing a ton of work on our little house in Smyrna and this store is our go-to for everything we need. Pam at the check-out is outstanding. I had a little challenge with a question about a coupon, but she honored it even though I didn't see it was online only. I work for a luxury hotel as a concierge and Pam won all our business (Thanks to OpenTable and Uber, the concierge job doesn't pay what it use to, so five bucks is five bucks) for Home Depot with that little kindness and willingness to provide personal, warm service. We don't make investment banker money (my wife is a teacher :-) but we will probably spend $10,000 on our house over the next year, all of it will be at the Cumberland Home Depot. Please promote Pam to your customer service manager because she truly executes that critical piece with five stars!
