How do I lessen window draftiness?
When your windows have a lot of condensation or frost, that's a clue that you need to replace or reseal them. If you can't swap out the old ones now, seal them with caulk, weather stripping, or a window insulation kit. Use mold and mildew removers first, and wear a respirator to avoid inhaling it. Fill any other gaps with foam tape and cover window a/c units as well to keep the cold air outside. These steps should help stem the draftiness until you can replace the windows.
What can I work on when it's cold outside?
In colder climates, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, it may be a great time to clean up your indoor workspaces instead. An afternoon organizing and cleaning the basement, shed, or garage will pay off when spring comes. If your tools and gardening supplies are all set, tackle cleaning the rest of the house. Get out the cleaning supplies and cleaning tools, then give everything a good scrub.
How do I prepare for snow and freezing temps?
When you live in a region where snow is possible, it's smart to upgrade or organize your snow removal tool kit before a big storm hits. Have a gas can ready to top off your gas snowblower if it's not already filled for the season, or check the battery on your electric one. Don't forget to get out the sleds for the kids, and prep salt or ice melt and a salt spreader. Ensure your outdoor spigots are covered and drained, too, with all garden hoses disconnected. Basic preparations like these keep you ready for whatever winter weather hits your area.
When are Kids Workshops offered at my local Home Depot?
Kids Workshops are held from 9am–noon on the first Saturday of every month. Reserve a spot by registering online for our workshops.
How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?
Gift cards to The Home Depot are a popular choice for the holidays, birthdays, and housewarming parties. DIYers know they're fun to give and to receive. Buy gift cards online at homedepot.com or in our brick-and-mortar stores. If you're a recipient, you can visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Use our gift cards to shop online or redeem them in-store, all with no additional fees.

Crappy service with tool box and tool purchase
I bought a $1398.00 tool box and some tools from the Elko store. when I first ask the younger kid at the pro desk was like really bothered and put out! that I asked him to get out from the other tool boxes so I could look at it. Finally after 15 mins him and another co worker got it out. I looked at and thought about for about 20 mins. This is a lot of money to spend. So I came back to the pro desk. I asked the kid at the pro desk if they had any of those in stock in boxes because it was snowing and I had to drive over 230 miles to get home in the snow. Didn’t want one that was unboxed. He was really put out that I asked that, he said there’s that one. So I asked could you look please. He said oh my computer isn’t working. He was too busy talking to his female co worker. The kid that helped him move the tool box out so I could look at it helped me, I asked him if they had any in stock still in the box and I told him way. He said let me look. He found 3 in the back. I said ok I’ll take it. But I will have to check out at the pro desk. Back to lazy kid! All of a sudden his computer was working now! I asked if they could wrap it in plastic so it didn’t get wet! Oh my gosh!! He was put out again and pawned it off on the other kid and then I asked if they could haul it out with the forklift and put it on my trailer. After checking out with it wrapped in plastic sitting there, it took 50 mins for it to get out to my trailer. Mr personality wasn’t to happy to help. The other kid was awesome. I will use Home Depot but I will be dealing with a manager if this happens again!

I purchased a Milwaukee Framing Nailer just to get home all excited and it was a return with half the packaging missing and writing and sharpie scribble all over it. Disgusted. If I wanted a used too I would have went to a garage sale.
      Just a Good store overall
Associates seem friendly and professional at every visit so far

            Great store
I have been to Home Depot stores in other towns, the one we visit in Elko is the friendliest and easiest to navigate.

Not returning to a store that lacks customer service
After spending hundreds of dollars at this location every single year, management refused to refund me for their mistake: a card reader error charged my card twice and despite showing them multiple printed records from my bank proving the dual charge, I was still not given my money back. Extremely disappointed in their lack of customer service and will not return to shop here.
                Great shopping experience.
I was looking for a refrigerator that had more fridge room and less freezer capacity, as I have a large chest freezer and never seem to have enough fridge space. I also needed the refrigerator to fit in a certain size space. Your employees (two of them) pulled out a couple of fridges and measured them to be certain that they would fit in my kitchen. Thank you for all your assistance.
